The location is super, right on the seafront. Welcoming and very helpful staff especially on reception. Gets very busy when groups arrive. Food was fresh, varied and plentiful. So much choice and amazing salads! Room cleaning was great. Two separate pool areas, one buzzing with activity and one much quieter - your choice Been here several times . Better now since ALUA ! Will be back!

If you have read the bad reviews BELIEVE THEM, sadly we didn't The room was thoroughly cleaned every day,as were the general toilets Sadly the Bar area, with seating, along with the snack bar wasn't clean. We saw a guest get a spray & a cloth to clean a table I WOULD NEVER HAVE TOUCHED THE CLOTH, YULK. We cleaned the tables we sat at with our drinking water and tissues. Due to lack of sleep we moved from room 241 after 2 nights as the entertainment stages were either side of the room. STILL NO SLEEP in room 476 THE BED & PILLOWS WERE INSTRUMENTS OF TORTURE . The safe in room is 4 euros per day. Beach towels are 20 euros each (refundable) at the end of holiday, 1 euro each time you change the towel. The food has a wide choice, well cooked but sadly every dish was TEPID... You are expected to take your dirty plate to the bin & scrap it off & leave with the others as well as placing cutlery in a water bowl. Very rarely does anyone come clear the tables for you. The beds around the pools were all tightly packed next to each. Thankfully we were able to move a couple forward & have a table between us. In high season that would be impossible

We stayed at this hotel for a week and were extremely disappointed. This place in no way meets four-star standards—neither in service, cleanliness, nor comfort. Our room was dirty, poorly maintained, and noisy until after 1 AM due to music and events directly beneath our balcony. Despite multiple complaints, staff showed no willingness to help—one receptionist even told us, “I’m not the one making the noise.” Black mold in the bathroom (a serious health risk) was never properly cleaned. The air conditioning was loud and it was impossible to set an exact temperature. The sofa bed for our teenage son was tiny, uncomfortable, and unstable. The food was repetitive and low quality, cutlery, glasses and plates were always dirty, and long lines were everywhere—from the restaurant to the bars. The hotel is outdated, neglected, and the sunbeds by the pool are right next to each other. The Wi-Fi was unusable. Most staff didn’t speak English and were unhelpful. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our experience was frustrating and far below acceptable standards.

Check in/check out The hotel is around 30 mins from Almeria airport or 2hrs 30 from Malaga airport. Check in is at 1400 and check out 1200. Late check out is available and there is a luggage room if needed We hired a car from the airport. Parking within the hotel car park is £20 per day or there is plenty of street parking. We never had an issue getting a space. Rooms- The hotel is set in 1 big building divided into different wings. Some rooms especially the pool/beach view rooms are right above the entertainment which stops at midnight. Our room 418 was towards the front and was very quiet. Shampoo and shower gel are provided in the room along with a small fridge. The safe is an extra charge and needs to be set up by reception. There are no tea/coffee facilities within the room. The balcony has two chair and a drying wrack for clothes. Location- The location is Roquetas de Mar which is 30 mins from Almeria. Outside the hotel there are lots of restaurants, shops and souvenier shops all of which are a good price. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The hotel is set about 4km walk oitside the main town of Roquetas and can be reached by walking along the beach. A 10 minute drive takes you to a large shopping centre which has a KFC/Burger King/Primark and Carrefour. Beach- The hotel is located on a public beach which has no links to the hotel. The hire 2 beds and an umbrella is £5 per day. The beach is a fine shingle and I woukd recommend beach shoes. The water gets very deep very quick and has a strong tide pulling you in. This is not ideal for children or non confident swimmers. There are some life guarda but spread very far along the beach. Pool- There are 2 main pools and a small childrens pool with slides and a bucket. One pool seems to be where all the entertainment and music happens and then a smaller quiet pool. There are 2 pool bars from drinks and a pool snack bar although the snack bar was not open in May. The pools go from around 150cm to 190cm in the middle and are not heated. In May this did not feel overly old. The area can get quite windy especially in the afternoons. There was a life guard there as well. The childrens pool has a small set up with slides, fountains and a water bucket which runs all day depending on time of the year. Pool towels are provided for a deposit of €10 per person paid at reception. If you want them clean its €1 per towel on Mondays. Food/drink- This hotel has a variety of package options but we went all inclusive. The drinks are great, some of the better ones ive had in hotels. They use branded drinks rather the own brand ones. The cocktails come from a proper machine so dont taste to sweet like in other hotels and the coffee is made from proper beans not a push button. Food wise the breakfast is a typical all inclusive style, yoghurts, fruits, cereals and cooked food. Lunch and dinner has a good variety but doesnt have the 'typical' english food that many expect. After saving and booking our Easyjet holiday, how disappointed were we on arrival, which didn't improve through the week. On arrival before midday we were met with a pleasant man at reception, clearly dealing with alot of customers, after a 40 minute wait we checked in then to be told we couldn't access the room until 3pm. The hotel is very tired and needs a massive update, the food is very repetitive and very biased towards the Spanish customers, we were the only English family that we are aware of. Almost all the customers were elderly Spanish people, which is fine but we booked a family resort. The buffet style restaurant did not cater towards kids in the slightest and we ended up eating out 3 nights even though we were all inclusive. There was one small child pool for younger children, which 2 days the water features weren't even turned on! The children's disco didn't start until 10pm even though it stated earlier which was too late for our young ones. Limited drinks on the AI package and you have to pay a deposit for your cup. Deposit needs paying for towels too. You have to pay daily for the room safe which in our opinion is a joke. All the entertainment poolside is announced in Spanish only. Our room was ok, the bed was very 'used' and dipped in the middle, the cots seems pretty new. The toilet seat wasn't attached and kept moving, the sliding door runner to the balcony was damaged and had very sharp edges which was a concern, luckily none of us caught our feet on it. If you have a pram on any higher then the first floor asked to be changed, the que and wait for the lifts was a joke and they were small, all the elder customers were obviously only using the 3 lifts which one was out of order. There is probably plenty more but it is safe to say we would never return to this hotel, this is the first time i have ever left a review on a hotel and its a shame it was like this.

We paid to upgrade to all inclusive it's not really all-in you have to pay for water you can't even fill your own bottle the all-inclusive ends at 12 mid day at checkout regardless of a late arrival and a late flight home the food is cold and repetitive mostly for Spanish people not English the all in area is often unnamed so you can't get a drink we had beer in a cup one day birds eating the cake which is uncovered you can only leave your towel on a sunbed for 30mins as it can be removed our room which we paid to have a sea view had sewage smell when we used to air-conditioning our tour operator report it but it still happened a couple of days later we both feel ill from this some of the reception staff were very rude to guests this was our second visit to this hotel it will be our last

We have stayed at the Trinidad before when under Roc ownership. The new owners, Alua have made some improvements but it is far from being a four star hotel and doubt it ever will be. Upgrades have taken place in the lobby, outside pool areas and public bathrooms however everything else remains the same. Dated communal areas, canteen style cramped restaurant. The staff have improved (except a few) and are far more professional however the waiting staff in the restaurant are poor, the main the restaurant is the stuff of nightmares, cramped, feels unclean and very poor quality food offerings, the kitchen staff need to improve as the food labelling is atrocious and could make someone very unwell, my wife has a couple of intorelances ( not just to me!) and some days the food label would include all allergens such as milk, gluten etc, the next day nothing on them even though it's the same food! A very dangerous practice and one which should be rectified by the relevant head of department. Food quality is poor, although fish is available it is frozen, frozen vegetables, cheap cuts of pork or processed turkey, plenty offal dishes to try and standard Spanish desserts...oh and kiwis so hard can break your jaw! We stayed all inclusive, drinks are good and branded spirits offered, however we stayed in late May and the hotel really didn't seem to cater too well for AI guests the snacks are hidden away in the restaurant and you feel like you are an inconvenience when visiting.. not to worry though one visit is enough unless you like processed Hot dogs or burger with a helping of frozen chips. Oh and one treasure you must see is the old bar within the lobby, proper retro and could actually be utilised in a far better capacity. All in all we gave it a further try and unfortunately won't try again. Great location, Good staff and clean but definitely not four star.

This is my first review of this hotel , I’m here now & you’ll get a full & frank no bull review when I return home , if you’re Spanish it’s fantastic , I’m not I’m English , no disrespect to anyone at the hotel it’s their country not mine but we were sold this holiday by Jet2 , I am not a bitter Englishman but I will tell you the truth in my next review when I get home , if you have booked perhaps change it

The hotel is in an excellent location but the interior is getting a bit tired and could do with a revamp. Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, and food and all-inclusive drinks choices are adequate. The heavy glass sliding wardrobe doors required the muscles of Hulk Hogan to open, but once the reception was notified of this, a tecnico came quickly to the room and spent some time efficiently fixing the sliders and they could be moved much easier! The entertainment staff work very hard to put on evening shows when professionals aren't booked. But what annoyed us the most was the constant and daily repetitive music emanating from a mobile speaker unit placed on the stage at the Bar Tropic/main pool outside area, set at a rather unnecessarily loud volume, disturbing the ambience continuously through the day, with no consideration at all for a quiet 'siesta' period during the afternoon. Checkout was absolutely horrid and tarnished the entire week we'd enjoyed upto this point. We approached the reception desk at 09:35, where two young male receptionists were on duty; one of them CHECKING IN a customer (At 09:35???) and the other receptionist was doing nothing but dither about pretending to be busy doing other things but not serving any customers!!! All we wanted to do was return the drinks fichas and reclaim the €2 and then leave. 09:35 is the time for people CHECKING OUT and not CHECKING IN!!! As we waited for 15 minutes for the early morning CHECK-IN to be processed, standing beside this customer, not once did the receptionist look in our direction or acknowledge our presence, and a queue had formed during this time, behind the customer being checked in and not behind us. Once the 09:35 check-in was completed, only then did the receptionist 'suddenly notice' our presence and told us to join the back of the queue!!!! This was an absolutely absurd way to treat any guest who simply wanted their €2 back, and go. A simpler return scheme should be put in place for these fichas, both at the bars and at the reception desk. In the huge and resounding atrium space and 'Agua' bar area, there's another mobile speaker unit placed on the stage by the entertainment staff, also constantly and unnecessarily playing daily repetitive music. After only one day of our 7-day stay, this began to grind on my nerves! We would like to return to this hotel at some point, but not if we're going to be subjected to the same set of songs over and over again, or with no quiet periods!!
