Nice property with a lot of charm, walking distance to town and restaurants , very quiet and spacious rooms , good bed , not easy to park around but we were super lucky !

Historical setting
Very good. Friendly staff. Characterful, historical and quiet setting. Spacious and comfortable room but no car parking.

Central as a convenient location for visits but the hotel is poorly maintained without a lift and with many dangerous steps, so dangerous that the receptionist fell in my presence. The breakfast is absurdly indecent to avoid. The structure is beautiful but it should be all put back in order because left like this it is decrepit

The hotel is a very nice manor house, but like everything it needs a remodel. We stayed for 3 days, everything was very clean, but the smell of humidity is persistent, the facilities are neglected, the most striking thing is the cafeteria staff, who yelled in a humiliating and intimidating way at the waitress, a lady of about 40 years old, we heard him on the way to our room. I recommend that the owner have a look at himself, having such staff, incompatible with education, which says a lot about the place.

Beautiful mini palace in the centre of the old town tastefully decorated and with a variety of different rooms - all different and interesting.

The hotel is very old and decrepit. The air conditioning was super old with broken blades and a horrible noise. The girl at the reception was not very polite. The room was on the upper part of the house, even passing a patio.

We were greeted by two cleaning ladies who were extremely rude and who really seemed to be bothering us. We were not welcome. It's a shame because when we came last year the reception staff were very friendly. We will not return to this hotel.

The hotel used to be a 18th century palace and has various patio areas. We booked the hotel as we had watched the beach horse racing last year and we had planned to stay over night and see more of Sanlúcar. The walk to the beach is about 20 /30 minute walk away. Our room number 22 was on the small size over looking the gardens of the town hall. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Big wooden shutters on the windows blocked out the light and heat of the day. The mattress on the double bed was far too soft for my liking and I woke up the following morning with a aching back. Even though the receptionist was friendly we wasn’t given any details about breakfast, Wi-Fi codes or opening hours of the bar. We managed to find the bar but it was closed. We had a good walk around the hotel admiring the beauty and size of it. It’s a bit of a tardis as it looks small from the outside. I will definitely return to this hotel next year but I will stay in a different room. We had breakfast around the corner from the hotel probably a two minute walk away. There is a small square with a couple of cafes.

I booked a 3-night stay 3 months in advance before I went in July. When I arrived in the morning they told me I could use the room from 2pm, leaving my luggage at reception where they told me there were paid parking lots nearby. When we returned after lunch, they gave us the key to the room on the ground floor near the dining room. That room smelled awful, especially of humidity, and you couldn't raise the blinds because it looked out onto a patio. I went to reception and they told me that that wasn't the room I had booked but that they had given it to me because it was on the ground floor. I told them it smelled awful and we didn't like it. The receptionist said there was another one if I wanted to see it and I said yes, because you couldn't stay in that one. We went up to the highest part of the building which looked like the roof and to get there you had to climb many high steps. We went down and got our suitcases, telling them that we weren't staying because it wasn't what we had booked and the smell. They told me that I had to pay €119 for not staying and I paid it because we were clear that we could not stay with that smell, which I do not understand given that the room was not used for anything and the fault was not ours but that of the establishment.

Lovely old hotel, definitely quirky, like staying in a very old house. If you like chain hotels all the same don't come here. Huge room with big terrace. Cool inside without Aircon but it was available. Big bathroom and plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly. Breakfast at €7 was plentiful, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, pastries toast and lovely coffee. Was expecting much less because of previous reviews . We parked in the Town centre and walked to the hotel, about 10 minutes up hill but ok with not too much luggage. There is very limited parking on street. Great location for the castle and Bodega visit and not far to the downtown area. Town hall opposite well worth a visit. It's a former palace, entry is free to garden and some rooms
