The pool wasn't available as it was not a summer season. Great view of Alhambra!

Loved this place. Felt like home. Very nice patio to have your coffee, bathroom was great, shower was ao powerful. The mini fridge was great to stire a few yummy tomatoes and jamon for snacks.

The stone steps leading up to the entrance were tolerable. The accommodation was on the second floor, and since we knew there was no elevator, that was fine. What we wanted was a good view and a relatively clean place. However, unlike the photos, the view of the Alhambra Palace was mostly blocked — only about half was visible. The cleanliness of the accommodation was terrible. The air conditioner emitted a foul, moldy rag smell, so we had to turn it off immediately. Anyone visiting in summer would likely find it unusable. We left the windows open to ventilate the odor, but mosquitoes came in, and my child was bitten throughout the night and couldn’t sleep properly.
During our more than 10-day trip in Spain, staying in both cheaper and more expensive hotels and Airbnbs, this was by far the worst in terms of cleanliness. I sincerely ask the host to have the air conditioner cleaned for future guests. (I strongly advise against turning it on — it smells like a rotten rag and mold, as if it hasn’t been cleaned for over ten years.)

The service was excellent. Luisa was waiting for us to arrive to explain everything in detail, both inside and outside the property, where to eat, what to see... such lovely people. Our room, the Comares suite, was wonderful: a comfortable bed, a huge marble bathroom, and a small but pleasant patio where you could chat outdoors.

The house is old, but very clean. It has a small swimming pool, which is a great experience. You can see the A palace. It's a very quiet and private experience. The breakfast is not available, which is not very convenient. You need to walk down to find a place to eat.

I imagined finding the hotel to be a little easier than it was. I used the recommended car parking Ave Maria Vistillas and found it very difficult to get to due to the street signs and vehicle restrictions in Granada. Once parked there is a decent walk which takes you to quite a flight of stairs serving the area of Albaicin but also providing access to hotels and b&b’s. Candil Realejo is positioned halfway up and so is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Access is provided via a pinpad and the instructions are clear and for me there was no issues. Very nice staff welcomed me my arrival and provided me the details of my room and a key. My room was on the first floor and on the corner overlooking the steps. It was dual aspect and despite having no view of the Alhambra still had nice views. The room was a good size. There was a slight smell in the bathroom area but I imagine this because it is an older property. The WiFi was good. The Alhambra is within walking distance, as are many nice shops, cafes and restaurants. Candil Suite Realejo also has a nice pool. I didn’t use it but I imagine on a hot day it’s a very welcome relief. Breakfast was served downstairs in the beautifully tiled dining room and conservatory area. For me the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It was a continental breakfast I do recommend a stay here as long as you are aware of some of the difficulties you may encounter when accessing it.

The hotel operates with a self-reception system. There's no permanent staff. We had trouble checking in upon arrival, but contacting the hotel manager quickly resolved the issue. He was helpful and understanding. The hotel was clean and tidy, with nice decor. It's a boutique hotel in a historic district. We enjoyed our stay.

Quality accommodation with some excellent features and very well located but with a couple of drawbacks. It has views of the famous Alhambra and is a short walk to a vibrant tourist entertainment area full of bistros, restaurants and bars. This address is not accessible by cars being located in a walkway alley uphill. No parking nearby. A number of taxis refused the fare when presented with the address and we managed eventually to get a translation across for a destination of a nearby corner to the address. Considering the cost, I found it lacking in providing a small desk or table which can be inconvenient. The property is not staffed and access is available by electronic PIN pads.

Lovely courtyard. Nice quiet area but very characteristic and handy for the Alhambra. Loved the area. Home cooked breakfast was good.

We have stayed in Granada many times as my husband is from Motril. The views from our double room with balcony were fantastic, but that is the only thing we liked.

There is no reception, which is fine if you have a Spanish telephone number and don’t depend on wifi to be in touch. We advised the staff we would arrive at a fairly specific time and had to wait for a code to be able to enter. We felt like we were a major inconvenience with the rude responses via WhatsApp that we received from hotel staff.

Our room did not have very basic things like cups to drink from and a hair dryer, which was something the website said the hotel provided or were in pictures on the website. We were told to “advise if there was anything we needed,” but we weren’t even provided the wifi password, so we couldn’t be in touch with them! Luckily, we found the router and were able to be in touch with the hotel staff because we saw the password there.

Even though we couldn’t drink water or use the wifi, the radio in the shower worked just fine! Ha! :-P Basic needs!!

The room had a fireplace that of course “works perfectly fine” but can’t be used, according to hotel staff. It should be noted on their website that this is a decorative fireplace only so people don’t book this room for the fireplace, like we did.

The room was smelly because the shower leaks which is covered by a rug.

We felt we paid for a great view and that is it. A great view you could get from a number of other hotels around the Albaicin/Sacromonte area where the service is friendly.

A great place on the crest of the hill across from Alhambra and overlooking Granada. Wonderful on a sunny day. Drinks were reasonably priced, especially considering the view. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Our waiter, Fabio, was friendly. Typical Europe of (an particularly Spain), there is no “rush” on the part of the service staff. If you need to pay and move on, ask for the bill. Overall, a good value if you are willing to pay for the view and comfortable setting.

The seem to be a lot of bad reviews of this place, but we cannot agree with that. The view is stunning and the place is very comfortable. The food was very good. No complaints there. The service could have been better, but we were in no rush. Actually, we were glad that there was no pressure to leave or buy more of anything. They are slow, but we didn't mind. I would recommend it. It is not very cheap, but what do people expect? You are paying for a lovely place to sit and watch the sun set over Alhambra. We thought is was reasonable. It is not fine dining, but good. The main thing is the view. A very memorable experience!

Absolutely beautiful location with an unbeatable view of Alhambra.

Best food I've yet tried in Andalusia too. I'd particularly recommend the Sea bass with black squid linguine - delicious, especially with their local white wine.

Also excellent service with friendly, English-speaking waiters.
