This hotel is in an excellent location, but that’s about it. It has small, shabby, rooms and no soundproofing—we could easily hear our neighbors, the movement of the elevator mechanism, and any movement at all in the halls. The breakfast was the worst of any hotel I’ve stayed in the 20+ countries I’ve visited over the course of my lifetime. Finally, the desk staff gave us mixed messages and were aggressively rude. A real disappointment, made up for by a wonderful city and great experiences at restaurants and cafes.

Very good location, but air conditioner was totally broken. Declined to change rooms because it's fully booked. Staff brought a heater instead of changing room, so the room temparature became good enough but no outlet to charge my phones as the heater was connected all the time. USB charger beside an outlet was also broken, it never worked. It wasn't a good experience with that price.

Great value hotel that’s well placed for the Alhambra and central city. We had a comfortable room facing the plaza. The bathroom was fine, with a decent shower. A comfortable stay.

- Receptionist at Check-Out: Rudy lady, very patronising & condescending. Tryied to charge me for breakfast I didn't have...

EDIT: I’ve seen the hotel’s reply & just to clarify it wasn’t a “misunderstanding” the issue wasn’t about being charged, it was the way I was spoken to. The receptionist was condescending & dismissive when I calmly explained I didn’t have breakfast. Her tone & attitude completely changed what had been an otherwise pleasant stay.

Very helpful receptionist which provided us information about the city. The view was also superb looking over the plaza, with a very European style balcony, and a very nice lift

I had a great stay at the Macià Plaza. Despite overlooking the plaza, I had no issues with the noise. It's apparent they've put noise proofing on the windows. Great location with view of the Alhambra and solid breakfast
