The room was very clean, the hotel was relaxing and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was a little limited but the coffee and fruit juices were good. The roof terrace had lovely views. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel California, we were welcomed by a very helpful staff member. Though our room was on the small size it had everything we needed with a very good sized shower. There is parking on the road outside the hotel but be warned you need coins for the parking meter. The location was great with an easy stroll down to the front. We really appreciated the honesty bar enjoying a bottle of wine for 9 euros on the patio on our return after dinner.

Really lovely hotel, with lots of character. Clean and comfortable, with a Smart TV, which is always good.
Only slight snag was the 'soundproofing'....it was actually that quiet!

Hotel offers very clean basic accommodation. My room was a small single but had everything I needed for a one night stay including coffee/tea AC and fan. Bathroom was small but adequate. Hotel is in a good location, close walk to the beach front. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved this hotel, we were upgraded and had a lovely balcony. The upstairs roof terrace was wonderful. An honesty bar is provided and is very good. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable and everywhere was spotless. The staff were very good. We will be back!

Good location from the airport by taxi, about 20 minutes walk from the historical centre and less than 8 minutes walk from the beach, so it's not in the real centre but not far from it. All the staff is friendly and polite, we saw different people at the desk all the time and everyone was nice, also the girl serving us breakfast. Good hotel for being a 2 star, breakfast is at the table, is nice and basic, a little slow to get it and the boiled egg is not available anymore if they run out. Overall a good experience, clean nice room and toilet, nice quirky decor and good staff.

Really lovely hotel with lots of character. Loved the stained glass window in the rear of the lobby and the tasteful bar and seating area. Great roof terrace although furniture is a little tired.

The reception team were fabulous and very helpful. Alejandro is a kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable and competent host. I really appreciated his help with parking my car in space 13 in the corner of the underground car park.

The room and the hotel looks very nice. The greeting was extraordinary, thanks Lució, your welcome made our day! The breakfast is very nice with lots of coffee and love. I really do recommend this hotel for you. It's a hidden gem, very close to the beach. Also, don't miss the little pub/restaurant almost in front of it, they serve very nice meals.

A nice little property away from the busy area yet a nice 20 min walk away. super close to the beach (2 min walk) and there is a big supermarket one block away. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful. I had an early flght and they arranged a taxi ride at 4:45AM and someone was at the desk making sure all was good. Would stay again!

A friendly and warm atmosfere with a variety of tasty and realy big sized pizzas. The back garden is quite silen and relaxing.

Pizza wasn't bad, in fact. However, the service makes you never want to spend another cent on that place. Overall a really bad experience. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I saw a lot of bad reviews about this place, but only after we took a walk down the beach and decided to stop by... In the end, drinks are affordable, 12€ for a bottle of of cava, great sunset and moon rise, bbq on the beach, service is great... This place deserves a lot more....
Look at the pictures for seabass, octopus and prawns... Unbelievably fresh, smoky flavor, I'd come back anytime I can...

The food was decent and ok price wise. But it took forever to get it. They also used 45 minutes to give us the bill after asking for it (saw other customers having the same issue). The youngest of the waiters was nice, but the rest seemed not very friendly.

Worst service ever received in 40 years visiting Spain. As others have commented the waiters ignore you even if not busy. Had sardines I ordered dumped in front of me with no cutlery so after being ignored went and got same from an empty reserved table.

Terrible service; we effectively had a four course meal as the starters and mains all arrived separately and each would have been cold before the next arrived. No apologies.
The food was OK but the octopus was tough as was the red mullet (I'm not 100% sure how they managed to make grilled mullet tough but juicy). Flavours were OK.
Lovely location on the beach.
After I posted this one of the staff came over and verbally abused me for 15mins. It got personal.
