Planing a trip to Spain for half year but the trip affected by the war so I had to cancel the booking due to safety issue.
I try to contact hotel by email with supporting documents to see any chance to have refund or partial refund but I did not get any reply from hotel. I understand that this booking is non-refundable but at least give me some responses.
I have made different bookings of hotels and tours, I do the same action. All of them gave me a reply and show understanding. Very disappointed with the action from this hotel.

Nice quiet hotel with reasonably sized room and a very comfortable bed and good shower. The front desk staff was very nice and the restaurant has very good food for breakfast through dinner as well as a bar. Short taxi ride to the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya where I was going for a conference.

This was our second time in Barcelona, and of course, both times we stayed at the Upper Diagonal. The staff was impeccable, always ready and available to help with anything needed. The prices are affordable for the rooms, as well as for the restaurant and bar. When you're treated well, you're more likely to return. Upper Diagonal, our hotel in Barcelona. A big hug to all the staff.

The room was very clean, the housekeeping was impeccable, and the service at the reception was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Very noisy related to surrounding buildings- difficult to sleep. I would not stay in back of building

Not great, especially for the price. Wifi unstable. Desk in room is tiny, one cannot really use it to work. Only one service of water and coffee even for a four day stay. Location is great for the University though.
