Hotel Gotico in the Gothic district in Barcelona is such a great place! It was a great location with a very nice view with a private terrace where you could see the gothic district and hear the church bells and music but was very quiet at night! It was in walking distance to some amazing restaurants and shops and the most incredible cathedrals and history in such an old city! The staff was SO very kind and helpful, always offering to help with anything you needed with smiles on their faces! They were all such nice, handsome guys! Their breakfast was really good as well. You cannot beat the price for the value! If you want to see the other sites of the city, you'll need to take the metro but I did that every day and it was so easy and cheap! I highly recommend this place for your stay in Barcelona!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely great—there is no doubt about that! The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, which I really appreciated.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, and the staff were pleasant and helpful throughout my entire visit. This hotel met all my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I used to work for Hilton's as a concierge, banquet supervisor, and front desk for more then 2 years. I took huge pride in my service and accommodating to guest.

I checked in with my wife the day before her birthday as we were travelling around Europe. We showed up early and the fine gentleman at front desk was very informative and we gave our luggage to him for storage as we were too early. As we travelled for more then 10 days, we had to do laundry first which we did and when I came back with clean laundry, I grabbed one of the suitcase from front desk so I can throw the laundry into the suitcase and off we go to explore Barcelona. After I am done with the suitcase I brought the luggage to front desk to be put away to the back, it was a different reception. He was afrodecendant ,bulky in build. I was very polite asking him to store the luggage away for me which only require him to roll my luggage and walk less then 20 steps to their rear room. What I got back was disgusted face and rumbling complaint in Spanish and a stare. I felt very disgusted being treated like this as a tourist. I had 3 more encounter with this male in particular where none of the three he greeted me with a simple hello. Last day of checkout, I can hear him doing a floor check with his music playing very loud at 6:50 in the morning.

I am sorry, but if he dislike this job so much, I think he should find other profession. Hotel receptionist and this hotel unfortunately have to suffer from his lack of customer service with a two star.

Due to his privacy, I will not post picture of him. But I probably won't come back to Spain and Barcelona if I have to deal with this kind of attitude.

Everything was amazing! The room was spacious, with very comfortable large beds and pillows. The location is perfect — close to all the main attractions and just a short walk from the metro. There are also plenty of great restaurants around. The room was very quiet — once you close the balcony door, you don’t hear anything from outside.

The staff at the reception are always smiling and extremely friendly.

A couple of small suggestions: it would be nice if bottled water was replenished during room service, and the room could use slippers and a toilet brush.

Overall, our stay was fantastic! When we visit Barcelona again, we’ll definitely stay at this hotel once more.
