Hotel Bonanova Park in Barcelona

We asked the property to cancel or modify our booking with them but was flatly denied even after our flight with Emirates was cancelled due to the warn in the middle East. We sent documents to prove our case and the reason for the cancellation was due to force majure. But the property denied our request. They took our money even though we had every valid reason to make the changes. Such abgreedy and opportunistic hotel.

My experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing.
I booked an apartment through Booking.kg, where the price was listed as €95 plus €11 for the local tourist tax. I paid the full amount online. However, upon arrival, the hotel staff told me I had to pay the €11 again in cash, claiming they “didn’t have the right to charge it online.”

I contacted Booking.kg immediately, but they only responded the next day. Since no solution was provided, I had no choice but to pay the €11 again in cash at the reception. Later, when I asked the hotel for a receipt confirming this payment, they refused, saying I had not paid them anything. They even suggested I should personally return to the hotel in Barcelona to clarify the situation. The conversation ended with them hanging up the phone on me.

The hotel refused to provide any proof of the payment, denied receiving the money, and left me without any support or compensation.
I find this behavior absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone — neither for the level of service nor the way they treat guests once payment is received.
