The location is excellent; the hotel is right across from Casa Batlló, and many other attractions are within easy walking distance. There are subway and bus stops right outside the hotel, making public transportation very convenient. It's about a 20-30 minute taxi ride to the airport and about one subway stop or a 10-minute taxi ride to the train station.

The hotel service was excellent overall. Guests were greeted upon arrival and departure. They even gave me a Polaroid photo as a souvenir upon check-out, and the front desk helped me confirm the fare with a taxi driver outside the hotel before heading to the train station – very thoughtful. The restaurant also offers snacks for self-service during non-meal hours. Breakfast is a combination of à la carte and semi-buffet; while the selection wasn't extensive, it was delicious and filling.

Before checking in, I was a bit worried after reading some negative reviews about the standard rooms, but I encountered no problems at all. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the service was excellent. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything.

The hotel is conveniently located on a central street in Barcelona, close to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The hotel has a lounge with free coffee, and the staff is friendly, but our room was less than ideal. The mattress sank, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The window overlooked the adjacent wall, completely obscuring the street. A photo of the view from the window is included.

Everything was super fantastic, starting from reception.

Hotel Sixtytwo was so lovely to my husband and I on our honeymoon. The staff made us feel very welcomed - Paula made sure we were received warmly and gave us plenty of places to check out, Albert helped us navigate the city and made sure we had everything we needed, and Andrea helped us book a table at a busy restaurant. The hotel is in a great neighborhood. It's very central to a ton of popular sights, but while busy, it doesn't feel overwhelming. It reminded us a bit of SOHO in NYC. Lastly, our room was amazing. It was clean, the shower was strong, and the bed was comfy. The terrace was absolutely amazing, we spent so much time outside.

Thank you again to all the staff that made our stay so comfortable!

Although our stay was short, the hotel and the staff were absolutely fantastic. We felt very welcome and comfortable the entire time. From now on, this will definitely be our go-to place to stay!

Perfect 2-night stay to start our vacation. Staff was extremely, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious, clean, and had all necessary amenities. Location was central to restaurants and the metro stop. Highly recommended!

The good thing is the convenient location. Everything else is a drawback, the most notable being the bed in this hotel, which is the most uncomfortable I've ever stayed in. The length of my review tells you how dissatisfied I am with it. Furthermore, I changed rooms once, and both rooms had sagging mattresses. I don't know if it's due to age or the fact that this hotel has always accommodated severely overweight people. I suspect the mattress hasn't been changed in years, and even before I slept on it, it was already a crater... It's one of those old, cheap mattresses that creaks... Combined with the hotel's ridiculously high pillows, it feels like your body is nestled in a crater, while your neck rests on a raised platform. It's completely uncomfortable. Highly recommended for people of normal weight. Also, if you absolutely must stay at this hotel, please avoid booking this so-called "standard room"; it's not a standard room in the truest sense. The hotel stated: "We only have two rooms of this category. It's located at the end of the corridor, in a canopy-like structure, and you can hear the constant patter of raindrops at night. There's only one darkened window, and a giant mirror facing the bed." Staying here, I felt like a 16th-century slave in a basement, sleeping on a creaky, flat bed, a bag-like object that couldn't really be called a pillow, listening to a riot of noise, and startled by the mirror. In a foreign land, I felt a sense of empathy similar to Du Fu. Given the high price, if you absolutely must stay here, I strongly recommend paying the extra for a standard room. The hotel staff were also incredibly baffling. They reminded me to check out by midnight every day of my stay. On the afternoon of our last night, while I was sleeping, the staff called me and engaged in a "quiz." They asked, "Do you know what time I check out?" I said I did, and they asked, "Then tell me what time?" I said 12:00. They said, "Okay, remember to check out on time." I was completely baffled. Considering the staff had reminded me twice, both at check-in and during the room change, and 12:00 is a standard time, I don't understand why they did this. And even if they did, they wouldn't have waited until I hadn't checked out by 11:00 AM to tell me. Is this a Spanish way of saying "Let me test you"? I have no idea what it means. On the first day, I asked to change rooms, and another staff member said, "This is the worst room and they can't change it." I don't understand what this service means. Even if they offered me an upgrade for extra money, I strongly recommend against staying here. Also, the hotel probably has old-fashioned wooden floors, which are incredibly noisy. I could hear creaking floors, vacuuming, people showering in other rooms, the sound of the sewer above, and even the sound of a child crying. If you're sensitive to sound, definitely avoid this place!

The location is perfect, with all the luxury stores on the same street, making everything within walking distance. There's a tapas bar right downstairs.

The hotel provides slippers and toothbrushes, which is rare in Europe. The front desk is always staffed, which is very convenient. The breakfast was also very good. Overall, I highly recommend it! We even gave each of us a souvenir fan before leaving.

Booking a room with a small balcony in advance would be even better.

This is by far one of the best hotels in Barcelona. A boutique gem in a an excellent upscale location. You will be close to everything but away from the crowd. The room is equipped with everything u need, a mini bar, tea/ coffee machine. We have received an upgrade to a suite which was sweet as it gives us a nice terrace to sunbath if needed. The shower is modern / new. The small lounge on the first floor offers complimentary tea and coffee during the day.
The croissant served at breakfast is so crispy and fresh.
Every single member of the staff is professional, friendly and they go out of their way to help and made us feel welcomed and at home.
I will definitely be back and this will be my choice in Barcelona.
