One concern I had was with the safety of baggage storage. They claim your bags are kept in a locked room, but the room is unsupervised, relying solely on cameras. For me, this wasn't reassuring.
During our stay, we encountered several issues. On the first night, our room (101) had no functioning air conditioning, and the bathtub did not drain properly. I strongly recommend avoiding Room 101 if possible. When we requested a different room for our second night, since they wouldn't issue a refund, we were placed back on the first floor, where there was a noticeable mildew smell.
The staff informed us that if we wanted a refund, we would need to submit a complaint in writing, and even then, a refund wasn't guaranteed. We booked our third night elsewhere.
Hotel was in a great location. Rooms and public areas very clean and staff helpful. Breakfast was fresh and had all the choice needed.
Great base for a city break in Barcelona.
I was at Ciutat de Barcelona for 5 nights/6 days, and would have loved to stay longer. I will definitely be back.
The rooms are adequate and clean.
The roof top area looked a little tired but definitely a useful distraction if you have to spend a little time at the hotel.
