Moxy Barcelona in Barcelona

The room was clean and hygienic, and all the facilities were new. I loved the cute, vintage telephone. The staff were also very welcoming. The only minor issue was that the walls were a bit thin, so the soundproofing wasn't great.

Second stay here, and the service at this hotel is excellent. We booked a room that included welcome drinks, which we could redeem at the bar. There was also complimentary juice upon arrival. The gym is very professional and spacious. I accidentally left my scarf behind when checking out, and they helped me retrieve it in the end. I'm very impressed with the service.

This is a business hotel that I stayed at temporarily for a video conference. It's very close to Sants station. The front desk and restaurant staff were warm and patient.

The location is fantastic, right next to the train station, making it easy to get anywhere by subway. The twin beds were placed vertically, which made the room feel a bit cramped. They offered complimentary drinks at the third-floor bar. There's a large supermarket downstairs, perfect for picking up souvenirs.

Landed safely at Barcelona Airport around 7 AM. Got my luggage and arrived at the hotel by 8:30 AM. Although the booking page said check-in was at 3 PM, the staff member let me check in early!!! So happy, so warm, so blissful!!! I took a hot shower, had some snacks, and rested up. It was just a short walk to popular spots like Plaça d'Espanya, and there were plenty of metro lines nearby – incredibly convenient! The next morning, I took the D20 bus right outside the hotel to 'Four Boxes,' which was super easy too!!! Left Barcelona for Madrid at noon, and the train station was just 100 meters behind the hotel!! What more can I say?! The breakfast was delicious with a great variety! This is my first time writing a detailed, handwritten review, and I genuinely highly recommend this place!!!

Environment: The room was quite cramped, with hardly any space for luggage!
Location: However, the location is excellent, right near the train station, about a five-minute walk. There's also a subway station nearby, a six or seven-minute walk, making transportation quite convenient.
Facilities: The third floor has a lounge area with plenty of seating for chatting and relaxing. The hotel also provides a welcome drink upon check-in, which is a nice touch 😊.
Service: The housekeeping staff were very polite, greeting me with 'good morning' every day 🥰.

This hotel more or less gets everything right. The prices are reasonable, it has a fresh design, great staff and good quality interior.

The rooms aren’t big, but provide enough room to be comfortable. There are enough amenities and features, like coathooks, wall sockets, clothing racks, table, chair, etc. The light switches make sense (pet peeve of mine). Airco just works and makes no noise. The windows block outside noise reasonably well. The bed was fine for me; just the right hardness. The only major issue is the fancy underbed automatic light (so you can see where you walk when you go to the bathroom at night) which stays on too long, but they’re changing that soon.

The food is excellent and the breakfast varied and complete.

A highlight is the excellent staff. They are all young people that walk around dressed like skaters in hoodies and trainers and such, which is kind of weird at first, but that’s part of the hotel’s design and vibe. Without exception, everyone spoke excellent English, was quick acting an dedicated to doing a good job, nice and very service oriented.

The location of the hotel is close to a big transportation hub and very easy to get to from the airport. Some decent restaurant options on the area as well. Close to the university if that is relevant to you.

All in all a good choice for business travellers and tourists alike.

A very nice, clean, cost effective hotel in Barcelona. As a business traveler I would have appreciated a desk in the room, but the 3rd floor common area did the trick for the most part. The included breakfast was quite good, the cocktails at the bar even better. Very convenient to both train and subway stops.

I had such a great experience at the Moxy.
The hotel is so pretty and well located. My room was so big and cosy, a mini refrigerator was missed tho but in global it was pretty great. The breakfast was so good too !

I hope I’m gonna come back on summer to enjoy the rooftop ! ☀️

I stayed 3 nights recently and I have to say this was a cracking hotel for the price. There were some great things about this place:

Pros:

- the room was very clean and it was a very lovely room. It was comfortable.
- very good noice proofing. We thought that it would be loud being next to a road but the soundproofing was great and we slept great!
- next to a train station for easy routes into Barcelona
- staff were extremely friendly.

Cons

- breakfast is incredibly pricey at 21 euros.
- the bar is a little pricy too. Especially the small bottles.
- the under bed light are motion activated and will turn on for 10 minutes. You cannot turn these off. These are especially annoying if you get up at night for the bathroom.
