Everything about this hotel is pure 5 stars luxury. We got 2 connecting rooms for a family of 4, and this layout of the rooms are perfect for our stay. Location is on the high end shopping belt of the city. Feels very secure. The concierge and receptionists at the hotel are wonderful at making you feel welcome, super professional. A little nick-pick would be the rooftop bar restaurant, we wish the standard of the food could be better. We had a dinner there on our first day, and we are not blown away by the quality of the food and it took really long for them to serve even though it isn’t quite busy. That was the reason why we didn’t feel comfortable going ahead with the breakfast and the 3-Star Michelin restaurant in the same hotel. 🙏

This is an absolutely superb hotel, and I was lucky enough to get an upgrade. Upon arrival, a dedicated staff member helped with my luggage. The hotel's natural light and cleanliness are excellent. The room's layout truly impressed me; the dedicated luggage area was a thoughtful touch. It's the first time I've encountered a bathroom with two sinks, which perfectly solved the morning rush. The location is also fantastic, just a few minutes' walk to Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. Downstairs, it's very convenient to reach shopping streets and souvenir shops. Finally, the breakfast was the biggest bonus – it easily beats many brunch spots and coffee shops. If only my budget allowed, I'd stay here every day!

Check in... good. Professional
Room... We checked into a family suite, Paseo de Gracia . The room was nice, but a bit small. Good overall, though. When the tv stopped functioning, we changed room. The second room was MUCH nicer. More space. The staff were attentive to resolve the problem. Praise to them.
The only thing we didn't like was:
1) The mattress was way too soft. Incredibly soft. I never felt it supportive in the second room.
2) The water/drinks guy opened the door to offer drinks. Many times, we were in bed/resting, and the door opened after a knock. This service is separate from cleaning. It could be left in the room after cleaning, as opposed to disturbing everyday. Don't open the door.

The location is superb, right on Passeig de Gràcia, just a 5-minute walk to Casa Batlló. Various luxury brand stores are right downstairs. There are also all sorts of small shops on the side streets, catering to every shopping need.
The concierge service was excellent; they proactively helped with luggage and always greeted us with a friendly 'hello.'
The breakfast restaurant offers a semi-buffet style, and the à la carte portions are incredibly generous. We didn't realize this on the first day and ordered too much. I suggest the restaurant staff could advise guests about the portion sizes.
The room itself was standard, but I was in a connecting room on the 2nd floor. Every morning and evening, when people upstairs took showers, I could hear very loud pipe noises, which significantly disturbed my rest.
Finally, some items in the mini-bar are complimentary, but the staff didn't replenish them proactively daily. We also had to specifically call for the daily complimentary bottled water for the room, which wasn't a great experience.

Excellent location and service. This hotel houses to Michelin rated restaurants. The first is a one star and the second is a three star Michelin restaurant. The bar downstairs is excellent and their signature smoked Manhattan is a definite must try.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Monument Hotel in Barcelona, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. Whether it was the concierge providing thoughtful recommendations, the housekeeping staff ensuring every detail of my room was perfect, or the restaurant team serving with such care, every interaction left me impressed.
If you’re looking for a hotel with outstanding service and a prime location, I cannot recommend the Monument Hotel enough. It’s a true gem in Barcelona!
