The perfect location while visiting Barcelona. Professional and courteous service from the staff. English spoken. Clean comfortable room. Keep in mind only taxis are permitted to pull up to the hotel door. At least that's what the hotel guy at the front door said.

Location is at the Gothic Quarter itself, near to all historic sites. Staff are truly awesome, (special mention to Jose and Dani of the restaurant. Also to Lawrence of Reception for his warm smiles) . Rooms are always neat and tidy. A self service laundromat is just a few minutes walk away to El Born direction.
There is a Gelato shop just beside the hotel, whose Gelato is surprisingly rich with flavor.

Nice clean room located in the Gothic district and close to everything that Barcelona has to offer! We absolutely loved our stay.

The staff was great but there was a leak in our room when it rained so they had to move us. We still liked it. Great location.

We just stayed here for 3 nights, couldn’t have been better. The staff was amazing from the minute we walked in, to calling us an early morning cab when we were leaving. Our room was on the 3 rd floor facing the street, and it was nice and quiet. The bed was a blessing after a full day of walking around Barcelona. This place is located right in the middle of everything, it’s a short walk to all kinds of shopping and sightseeing, plus the Bus and Metro is super easy to use and get around. I’d definitely stay here again!

Location is great and so are the staff. They are very attentive and friendly. The rooms are also very clean and nice.
We did not like the first room we got because we could hear all the street noise below. This corner room had 2 large floor to ceiling windows that did not insulate the sounds from the restaurants below. But we changed rooms and everything was fine.
If you are looking to get a good night's rest, I would suggest a higher floor and not the corner room overlooking the restaurants.

Definitely a positive experience. Great location. Extremely friendly staff. Check out at 12:00 and check in at 2:00 is very fair. Extremely quick turnaround for laundry service at a reasonable price.
You can tell that this hotel isn’t part of any global chain. In a very positive way. I’ll be back.

Hotel Barcelona Catedral exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and directly across from the breathtaking cathedral. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the hotel’s modern design, cleanliness, and the incredible scent that lingers throughout the property.
Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and came with high-quality bath products that smelled amazing. The staff was attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. This hotel combines comfort, style, and a prime location, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Barcelona. Highly recommend!

The location is great, the service staff is very nice, the hotel environment is good, the only problem is that it is newly renovated and the paint smell is quite strong, but this problem will disappear with time.

Next to the cathedral, the square is very lively at night. But there are many problems: 1. Two adults and one child checked in, and the reservation was based on two adults. Here comes the point, no extra beds can be added! We have to open another room. The manager in charge called us out and didn't listen to any explanation. He actually preempted the cold explanation. Even if Ctrip had a prompt that an extra bed could be added, he replied that the English explanation was useless if he couldn't understand Chinese! Later, I found Ctrip customer service to communicate in person, but it didn't work! And there was only one vacant room, so I had to stay there quickly.
2. A four-star hotel, the front desk was colder than ever before, and there was no greeting when we met in the morning and evening. It felt a bit discriminatory against Chinese. Obviously, I was still very polite when I met Europeans and Americans.
3. When checking out, I wanted to help book a taxi, but the guy at the front desk agreed and disappeared! Others made excuses to find him. The most incredible thing is that the female manager at the front desk finally responded to help call a taxi and asked us to wait for 5 minutes. After repeated urging, the reply was that the hotel gate could not call a taxi, and we needed to go out to the roadside to call a taxi by ourselves! Why didn't you say it earlier? It has been open for so long. Did you know today that you can't drive in the door? The key is that the car can drive in when I came.
This hotel left a deep impression on my last stop of the Portugal-Spain trip.
