Could not have been a more centrally located, affordable location, one street off Las Ramblas, and walking distance to Sagrada la Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, place de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf and more

My first time in a hostal. Private room with bathroom. José was super friendly! I was surprised by the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness, the service and the drink station. Location perfect!

What we for the price was absolutely perfect. The sraff were really supportive and made us feel extra comfortable, I couldn’t stop thanking them. Perfect location, perfect rooms, really clean

Brilliant place - ideally located, well furnished rooms, complimentary tea and coffee plus a muffin and juice in the morning. The staff were superb and really helpful.

Located on the first floor of a very beautiful old building. The owner was very helpful, she prepared the room for us in advance. Bars and restaurants in the area (also for celiacs)

A reminder: Late guests must contact the hotel in advance, otherwise they will not be able to enter the door. This kind of hotel is not open 25 hours a day

Staff very friendly, clean room only issue we would say for 3 people in the room we had it was very tight as well as the bathroom.

The receptionists are friendly and even speak a little French 🙃

However, several aspects of the stay were less satisfying. The pillow was too thin — suitable only for sleeping on the stomach, which isn’t considered healthy — while the additional pillow was too hard and high

The staff members are all very kind and always smiling, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. For coffee lovers, there’s coffee available at breakfast and also a vending machine with €1 coffee available 24/7

The breakfast is quite basic, worth around €6: it includes coffee, juice, bread, a roll, butter, jams, cheese, salami, croissants, and cake. There are no eggs or any hot dishes

There was no trash bin in the room, only a small one in the bathroom. On the first day, there was no bag in it, though from the second day there was

The location is excellent — very close to La Rambla, the port, shopping areas, restaurants, and all types of public transportation

It's right in front of the Boqueria Market (I could see it from the balcony) and close to the subway station. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable

The room is quite nice and clean. The 24-hour front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitation is really good. Although it is a bit small and not soundproof, the price and location are still worth it

My luggage got lost on the way there, but the receptionist was very kind, lending me her cell phone and calling the service center in Spanish for me

This hotel has a atrium full of live plants hanging down from the balconies. Some of the rooms are shared baths. There are antique glass floors, Art Nouveau. They offer a free breakfast as well

Anyone who gives this hotel a bad review didn’t read the previous reviews. You literally get what you pay for: a very basic room, no facilities and a comically (but free) breakfast

However, it is extremely clean and the staff is super friendly. I loved staying there and I would definitely return or recommend it to friends. The location is a 10/10 as well

Although we did not stay here, we asked for directions and some tips for finding a Flamenco Show. The staff was absolutely so kind, so patient and professional

Good location near pl.Catalunia. Very nice and helping staff. A lot of restaurants around the hostel. The room is smaller than expected, but clean and comfort. We enjoyed our staying in this hostel.

It was actually better than I expected. I booked this through Airbnb and hadn't thought much about it until shortly before I started my trip, and realised it was not an apartment

My room was tidy, well maintained and clean, the bathroom was fine although the drain from the shower does not keep up with water coming in

A/C worked great on 90+ degree days and extra conveniences like fridge in room and access to microwave, dishes/utensils. Nice balconette and room/bathroom decent size

I got an inward facing room with plenty of light in the bathroom looking at the courtyard - it was very quiet away from the street. Room6 was large - About twice the size of the other hotel I stayed at

Hostel in a perfect location and at a good price. Good deal for 1 or 2 nights, solo traveller or couple. 5 min walk from the Gothic quarter, 1 min walk to one of the biggest metro stations.

Everything thing in this hotel was perfect, the price, the location, the cleanliness and the staff. Best place to stay in the heart of Barcelona, will definitely come again 👍🏼

Either one of the reviews is completely off-base, or this place has improved considerably. I stayed here in May 2019 and found it to be excellent

Perfect location Love the location able to walk everywhere. Coffee shops at most corners. Staff was very helpful. It did get a little noisy on Friday night. I will definitely be a repeat customer

The hotel was very nice and actually surprised me! I've heard a lot of people don't have windows but we had 2 windows, a small one in the bathroom and a small one in the bedroom

A great place to stay right in the heart of Barcelona! Hostal Palermo is located just off La Rambla, so everything is close by, including the metro, which makes sightseeing very easy

Hostal Palermo was very well located right in the middle of Las Ramblas. Easy to find and staff friendly. I stayed in a single room which was pretty small, but it was clean and had a door that opened onto the street

Is the shower water of European standard? It didn't flush. The sink drain was clogged; we mentioned this upon check-in, but no one arranged for repairs upon departure

The room was clean and the same like other motel ones that we have stayed at. The one thing is the doors seem to slam creating slight noise when people are entering or exiting a room.

Very good location, nice rooms, nice bar close to the lobby with good gin selection and fun "swing chairs". The rooftop bar was also excellent, well worth a visit. Rented a nice room with a veranda, spacious and cozy

By far one of the best Hotels in Barcelona. Good value for the money, the staff is super attentive. The rooms are always clean, with clean crisp linens.

It was great having access to the Spa for 90 minutes free every day but it is a little outdated with some things not working in the pool area and information in English would be great

There are two subway stations (L1 & L4) close by and maaaany cute cafés (-check out my other reviews, if you're interested). The beach is also not far away at all

The hotel is super close to the station but I was able to walk to many places. The hotel itself is super clean and so comfortable. The bed was great and the shower was amazing

Spacious, clean, huge shower with a separate toilet area with a bidet. The spa includes several rooms for massages a warm indoor pool with massage jets. Many seats to just relax and enjoy the tranquility of read a book

There's also a sauna, a cold pool to dip in after and a jacuzzi and much more. However, you must pay for the massages. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the city center and the airport

Overall, the service leaves much to be desired. Otherwise, the rooms are okay, except for the showers, which have only a curtain and water running throughout the bathroom

Strategic location because it's close to the metro, but the neighborhood is quite grim. The building itself isn't the best, but the apartment was clean. The pool was dirty and unusable.

They called again and said they'd misinformed us last time and that reception would open in another hour. So, we ended up waiting there for two hours with our luggage

On the last day before checkout, a pipe in the kitchen leaked, which we immediately reported, but no one ever came. Fortunately, they sorted it out themselves and turned off the water

The reception isn't open 24 hours, as they informed me in a message. They asked what time we'd arrive, but no one was there to meet us at the appointed time

There are no reception hours anywhere, only a phone number, which we were told would be answered within an hour. An hour passed, and still no one showed up

We had family staying at the 5-star Grand Central Hotel just two doors down from us and it was not nearly as nice as ours - the lobby was cold and unwelcoming and the rooftop did not have as nice of views at all

Less than a block away there is a high rise building call el Corte Inglés which has a full size supermarket on the lower floor and multiple floors with man’s, women’s, sports apparel, electronics, home furnishings, etc

The hotel has a rooftop patio with a great view of the city and the hotel staff holds a daily wine event from 7 to 8 pm. This was an enjoyable opportunity to meet a fellow international travelers

Small hotel with few rooms, book early. The customer service is very professional and helps to book the trip. The breakfast is rich and feels like home. The room is clean and has a terrace.

In the meantime, have a free coffee during the approximate 15 minute wait. That kindness and personalized greeting was appreciated. The Chic and Basic Born is in an historic quiet spot. It was the port in the 1400’s

The boutique hotel was a former school, therefore the rooms after substantial, thick walled, unique and comfortable. We could see the Museo de Xocolata from the bathroom window … I wish i could take the Moka home

As for the hotel, it was a good hotel is a great location. It was close to everything but far enough from the hustle and bustle to not be loud or busy. For the price, would definitely recommend this hotel
