It's important to note that the spa is an additional fee and is accessible to children over 14 (I don't remember exactly).
But most importantly, it's not allowed with small children.
I recommend it for a stopover; it's also suitable for walks.
You definitely have to stay here.
Breakfast and dinner are both delicious, and the room condition is amazing.
The service is also great.
We booked a Superior room, but were silently upgraded to a Deluxe room with a view of the pool and the courtyard. The room was quite large, beautifully renovated, with a great bathroom. Our A/C worked perfectly, and despite being near the elevator, the room was totally silent. We did find the shower temperature to be hard to control, with the middle setting seeming to be way too hot.
The hotel has lots of little seating areas and bars and it's easy to get a little lost with all the stairs, elevators, and hallways. The breakfast room is huge, but it never felt crowded, and the excellent selection food and drinks is organized very well. The service there was great, as well, with plates and glasses being cleared away courteously and continually.
In addition to our great room and the inviting public spaces, what stood out for us here was how friendly and helpful every member of the staff was. Even when the lobby was crowded, they were watching to see if anyone looked like they needed anything.
We look forward to returning here in the future!
The disappointment arises from the lack of customer service and overall experience. This was not a 4 star customer service experience. There was no assistance from anyone. The front desk employees were chatting with each other rather than helping guests, which created long queues. We tried to order room service and couldn’t connect with anyone as they didn’t display phone numbers properly. There was no help in calling taxis. We also asked them to assist in making dinner reservations for us and they called 1 spot with no availability and suggested we just “walk somewhere”.
Additionally, we booked ourselves a suite with a private pool. They continued to nickel and dime us for everything - water, tips, chocolate, you name it. And when they wouldn’t get us a water, my husband walked to the lobby vending machine and it was broken.
The only positive was the central location and a decent room.
Overall, due to the lack of customer service I would not stay here if you’re planning to enjoy the hotel itself. A true disappointment for our honeymoon.
