Espahotel Gran Vía in Madrid

The perfect base for our last two nights in Madrid, and a great way to close out the trip.
We arrived from the Basque Country by car, which is worth planning ahead for. The hotel sits right on the Gran Vía, so there's no on-site parking. There are a couple of public garages nearby, but be prepared to walk with your luggage and budget between €20-€30 for the day. Worth knowing in advance.
Once inside, everything was smooth. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, exactly what you want after weeks on the road. The Gran Vía location puts you right in the middle of everything, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, with the Callao and Plaza de España metro stations within easy walking distance, and Plaza Mayor about 20 minutes on foot.
The front desk team deserves a special mention. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the gentleman who handled our checkout and went out of his way to arrange a taxi to the airport, the service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout.
The hotel offers breakfast, but we preferred to eat out and experience Madrid one last time. No complaints there.

If you are looking for an area that is full of life day & night then you found a perfect place. Very central. The room has kitchenette with microwave, stove, utensils etc. Room feels spacious despite in the middle of busy street, feels a bit outdated.

Perfect location, friendly staff and good cleanliness

This hotel is perfectly situated right on Gran Via, with restaurants, shops, and entertainment all within easy reach. The rooms are perfectly adequate.

The location is excellent, right next to the subway and bus stops. Despite being street-facing, once the windows are closed, you can't hear any outside noise at all. The room was well-equipped. It truly exceeded my expectations!

Booked an extra bed room with my child. Lived on the 9th floor. It's the top floor. It's quiet, but there are no windows. There are only two skylights. It's very convenient to go to the attractions. There is a 001 free bus at the door to the Prado Museum, the train station, the Royal Palace and many nearby attractions. There is no free bottled water. You can only buy it yourself or drink the paid drinks in the refrigerator.

The location was especially good. We were pleased with everything about the hotel. I will stay at the same hotel next time I visit Madrid.
