We had an amazing experience at this hotel for our wedding. The hotel manager was extremely supportive and kept reminding and guiding us at every moment to make sure our wedding day was a complete success. The food was excellent, all the services were well organized, and everything was very cost-effective. We are truly grateful to the entire team for making our special day memorable.

We recently had our wedding (07 Aug 25) at Polhena Grand Resort & Banquet, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, the hotel manager was extremely supportive and professional. He guided us through the planning process and was always available whenever we visited the hotel to discuss the arrangements.

The wedding hall was beautifully renovated just before our big day, and it looked absolutely stunning-modern, elegant, and luxurious. It created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration.

The food was another highlight, delicious and full of flavor! Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the variety and taste. The staff were also friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the event.

I recently visited the hotel and utilized their pool and dining facilities. While the hotel is in satisfactory condition, I am not certain it meets the standards of a 3-star establishment. The swimming pool is of good quality, however, the pricing is significantly higher compared to other locations in the area, with an hourly rate of 700 LKR. The food prices are slightly more affordable, ranging from 1300 to 1500 LKR per person, but the quality is not satisfactory. I would not recommend the food, but the pool area and water quality are commendable. It is worth noting that there is an additional charge for using the pool area, even if you purchase food from the hotel. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and provides good service.

Polhena Grand Resort & Banquet truly offers a delightful experience for a day outing! The staff warmly greeted us and ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making it really valuable for money. The highlight for me was definitely the beautiful beach and the relaxing area surrounding it. Additionally, the swimming pool was amazing - clean, well-maintained, and a great place to take a refreshing dip. The welcome drink, lunch, and evening tea were also delicious.

The only downside was that the room was not included in the day outing package.

Overall, I highly recommend Polhena Grand Resort & Banquet for anyone looking for a perfect day outing destination. You won't be disappointed!

We attended for a wedding ceremony here and it was quite good hall. Hotel service was also fine. For Buffet they have provided long grain rice, but unfortunately it was dried in texture. Other curries were quite good and taste. For soup, i tasted like they have added MSG.

Amazing place! We will definitely be back. If you like privacy, silence, sleep to the sound of the ocean - this hotel is for you! This is not about luxury in the room, but the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay are there. Cleaning every 2 days, special thanks for the quality. The biggest value of the hotel is, of course, the beach, which is something you won’t find anywhere else. Restaurants are nearby, if you leave the hotel and go left, there are quite a lot of them for any budget. It’s an absolutely safe place for two girls; we met only good people. Thank you very much for such wonderful memories!
