Chitra Ayurveda in Bentota

Really enjoyed staying here. Owner and wife took really good care of us and made sure we were most comfortable. They were super flexible and communicated with us superbly. Even took care of our return tuk tuks on our check out day. Thank you so much, we will be back soon. Would totally recommend this stay to others as well

Fantastic huge colonial villa with 3 separate rooms and each room has airconditioning and its own toilet and shower! The villa has a very large garden and lots of space and a bog private swimming pool! Service is on point and people are super friendly. Beach is a small walk and enough restaurants nearby!

Chitra Ayurveda Villa is a great place for a family vacation in a quite, calm, relaxing and greenery environment. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. They provide breakfast as per guest requirement. We had Sri Lankan breakfast with tropical fruits. Morning kola kanda was great. Kids can enjoy playing in the garden and swimming pool. Can reach a beautiful beach through a walking path. It was another home away from home to us.

At Chitra ayurveda you are treated like a King. All is done to make you feel good and nothing is too much to arrange so you feel well.
The treatments are fantastic, totally custom made to your body type and dosha's. It is astonishing to see how quickly you feel better after the ayurvedic treatments you will get.
I am amazed by the food they serve, also completely custom made for your wellness and apetite.
I highly recommend this place, as Chitra is a wonderful Ayurveda Doctor who takes care of you with whole her heart. Situated at a only 50m from the beach, you will feel wonderful in her beautiful garden.

If you like to be good for yourself, this is the place to get a treatment of 3 weeks, as I did. The treatments in combination with food and being nature, cured myself in a fantastic way!
I find myself lucky to have found Chitra Ayurveda and every time I stay there it feels like coming home!

I was in September at Chitras place with recommendation from someone I know. Very cosy place near to the beach and a beautiful garden with many fire flys in the evening and some squirrels in the day time. The rooms are a little bit older, but still very nice, especially very bright with lots of light and big windows. As well you have lots of space if you want to do some yoga in the room. The bathroom is small but completely enough, and everything is in there what you need. The rooms are very clean and if you ask them to clean it again or swap bed sheets they will do it. The Massage next to Chitras place is awesome. I got a 3 hours Aryuverdic Massage every day. Very good treatments, from head to toe and face as well, absolutely nothing to complain. I got food in the morning, afternoon and evening in Chitras living room. At that time I was alone there and got cooked by Chitra everyday. She always asked what I would like to eat. Good cooking with many different currys, nice fruits, teas and juices, VERY good ice cream. Just at the end the dishes got the same everytime. Would be nice to have a little bit more different things, especially when you stay longer than 3 days. The beach was near by, so you could walk there, watch the sunset or just walk around and collect little bit of rubbish. The train is between the garden and the beach and you hear it, but it is nothing what disturbs you. I loved to hear the train passing by. Otherwise it is quiet, no kids, no big other sounds, no cars, very nice and peaceful. They organised me a Tuk Tuk when I had to go to town or when I left by train. Very friendly people working there and it is a good feeling to support this people as it is just a couple of them working together to keep the place running. As a summary: good price for the cooking you get, the Massage treatments everyday, the room and the location! I would love to come back and have some more treatments ;) Thank you Chitra and Team! It's a great place for the relaxation! Hotel's staff friendly, helpful and nice. Breakfasts are delicious! The room was clean, spacious and bright. The garden is just awesome. The ocean is super close. Totally recommend.

Few cons: the train is close to the house, but it's easy to get used to its sound. The wi-fi connection could be better. If you look for a place to combine online job and your stay on Bentota better to look somewhere else. This one is 100% recommended for a vacation and technical detox.

We visited for Ayurveda massage. It was so nice time. Staffs are hospitable. If you want to know the price, please see photos. It is affordable compared to hotel massage.(I've uploaded price list.)

The massages were awesome.. Specially two hours massage and shirodhra..I will come back surely.. I highly recommend this place
