Where to stay in Bentota

This is a beautiful place right by the sea in Indurwa. What makes this place amazing is the staff ! What a lovely staff and what an amazing light they bring to Sri Lanka. Very helping, always there to see if you need anything, smiles on their faces everytime. I had a lovely peaceful stay, and would love to stay again.

This hotel has very good view from the balcony. Direct beach access. Last place i visited with direct beach access was my friend house in calangute goa. The rooms are not maintained as they are exposed to salty winds. But who stays in room when u r on holiday. Service is really nice. Food availability is less but again who stays in hotel. This hotel is really good value. The room is very large and fresh with new AC, comfortable bed, good storage and nice shower. The balcony offers an unbeatable view of tall palm trees, pool and sea. The beach is nice and sunbeds are comfortable. We liked the food in the restaurant. We eat vegetarian and the chef is flexible so that we get what we want. Very nice staff.

The building of the hotel is nice. Rooms are spacious. There is a good pool . Humidity is extremely high in the room,especially when guests below switch on a conditioner+19,the floor of the room above becomes wet. Bed clothes become wet too and you shiver with cold at night. We reserved our stay here looking at the beach side view of the hotel. Overall our stay at the hotel was comfortable but the food quality as well as the price they charged to us was almost of 4star hotel. Environment is really awesome with beach front. You can enjoy bathing in beach and pool. Environment kept clean and maintained. Can go for a morning walk in Long Beach. That’s a good experience. Great food. Polite staff. No utensils in the room. Quiet place and near the beach. Uncrowded. Sometimes you can hear a passing train, which is perceived more as entertainment. Some of the staff know Russian. In the evenings the Internet is virtually nonexistent.

We had a very enjoyable three nights at Waterside. Beautiful location and excellent staff. We enjoyed the food - both breakfast and dinner were of high quality. We took the opportunity to go out on an early morning river safari. It was well worth it. It is about a fifteen minute walk into the village and a further ten to the beach. Very much recommended.

The hotel is perfectly based on the beach, offering a great view for total relaxation. The management is very nice and kind, providing excellent service, and their pet, Hola, is a charming companion. However, the rooms are not as spacious as advertised and are very basic for the price charged. Guests should note that no blankets are provided, only a thin bedsheet.

We stopped off en route for lunch on our way to Galle . Friendly service , clean facilities and average choice of food. However £38 for two club sandwiches , a starter prawn cocktail and 3 juices was ridiculous and more than we spent in Colombo at the Ceylon curry club and that was with alcohol!!

I am so happy that I stayed in this hotel. It's small and comfortable. First line,not crowded beach. Stuff was very good, you can feel like they listen to all your wishes. Food was very good. Cannot recommend at all. We went there in last weekend and got FB double room. But the room is not cleaned well. Floor has some sands and after we told, they clean it. Fantastic huge colonial villa with 3 separate rooms and each room has airconditioning and its own toilet and shower! This is a no frills place BUT it had a great vibe, lush food and amazing views. If you want to disconnect and relax, this is the place. The walk up and down the beach was so relaxing.
