Kings Cottage Hotel in Nuwara Eliya

I stayed in the female dorm, it was sooo comfortable in there and a lovely powerful warm shower. The setting is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of the centre (easily walkable) but overlooking green trees and grass. The hostel put on a cosy fire for us and there was great, relaxing live music around dinner time. The food was delicious and cooked fresh. The staff were lovely and helped with any queries. I had a wonderful stay here. This was mainly due to the staff. It felt like family. I extended my stay a few times, just like many others. The women's dorm is really beautiful, sleeps comfortable. Lots of light in the room and a really quite place.

I stayed at the place for four nights - in the female dorm. The beds were incredible; honestly big enough for two and one of the most comfortable i’ve ever had in a dorm. You also get a lot of storage space right next to the bed. Though the room got a bit cold during the night, the blankets made up for it for sure!
The place itself was a vibe. The owner, his friends, and the staff were very welcoming. Helped with recommendations and great to talk to. There was a little of live music every night. The food was good. And the place is walking distance to the town - about 5-10mins.
Again, high recommendation for sure!

My stay at this hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth, the staff greeted me warmly, and the room exceeded my expectations—clean, modern, and very comfortable. Housekeeping ensured everything was spotless throughout my stay.
The facilities, including the dining area, lobby, and common spaces, were well-maintained and added to the overall charm. The food was delicious with a good variety of options. I also appreciated the hotel’s convenient location, which made getting around very easy.
Overall, this hotel delivers outstanding hospitality, and I would gladly choose it again for future visits.

We stayed in the female dorm room. It was beautiful. Cabin vibes. The ceiling is a skylight and the sound of the rain at night was relaxing.

The beds were super comfortable and the blankets they give you are so thick. I had a great night sleep. Maybe bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in.

The bathrooms were super modern.

Location was great. A short walk from the main area and short tuktuk to the hikes etc.

The owner was lots of fun! Also there is live music every night. It can get loud.

I was the first to go here recently. It's really clean there. The food is also prepared at the same time. The restaurant is also clean. The staff treats Ika well. So I recommend this cottage. Thank you king fern
