Hello, this was our first stop in Tangalle. A great Seaview across a busy road. School buses have to get kids to school for 7:30 plus commuter traffic, and the crashing of waves hids this mostly.... If you require ice there is an industrial ice making factory right next door. They crush cubic meter blocks, one after the other. Fun to watch and little noisy along with refrigerator generators. We stayed at this family run hotel for 8 days and had a great experience. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a lovely view of the sea, coconut palms, and mango trees in the garden. We stayed for 3 night here. Really enjoyed it. Great location next to the beach and close to town for restaurants. Room were nice and big and the balcony was a nice addition. Lots of hot water with excellent water pressure. Only downside is the WiFi wasn’t very strong on our floor but that didn’t bother us too much.

Lovely stay at Mars Hotel, it was a bit difficult to find as you had go to down a side street to find it. On arrival they gave us a welcome drink. It is walking distance from the beach and the restaurants. Clean and large bathroom and they had air conditioning as well as a balcony.

I have visited this place several times for weddings and dining. If you’re planning a wedding, this might not be the best choice. While the budget is low, the crew working here, based on my experience, is not very polite or friendly. The food is good for dining, but the crew’s behavior remains the same.
