We loved this place and were gutted to only be here for one night. We originally were staying two nights in a different place in Yala and left as it was not a pleasant stay. So happy we moved to this hotel. The facilities are great, views amazing and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. You can cross the road and do the lake safari which was lovely and then 10 mins walk to the fruit bars at sunset - definitely do this it was spectacular! This was one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka.

The Serene Park Hotel By Ark is a comfortable, affordable and clean hotel to stay at. Close to restaurants and access to go on safaris nearby. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable with local tourist must see places.

The service was decent, but the facilities were terrible. There was no hot water for showering, the door locks were old, and the room was infested with mosquitoes. I stayed here mainly because it was convenient for birdwatching by the lake, but I've moved to a different hotel now. It's not far, about two kilometers, and half the price – much better.

Nasty cockroaches in the room. For very unpretentious guests, it's a one-night stay and then they'll go on safari and never return. The staff is excellent.

Stunning views all around the hotel. Nice rooms, great ac, modern bathroom, very clean, and great value. The pool is a great bonus. They also organised an amazing jeep trip to Bundala NP - great experience. Also, they have a couple of bikes that you can borrow, albeit with the most uncomfortable saddles in the world! They even organised a car and driver for us at very short notice, when our booked driver failed to show. Although every member of the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, there was a slight tinge of disorganisation about the place. Our room had no pillows or coffee cups, and we were given no key to the room. The key was provided quite quickly, the pillows after asking 3 times, but the cups never arrived. Also, we only had one meal there and it was OK, but most things were missing from the menu. But no major gripes.

I don't even stay here, they let us book the room, afterward tell us cancel, cause they say we are close today, I booked 3 rooms, and I need to carry my things to look for hotel again nearby, owner say will refund, after I cancel, let's wait, rest assure

After staying for one more night, the hotel has a restaurant where you can dine. Picture 3 is the menu. The price is RMB ➗40. You can swim in the swimming pool. The hotel provides a 1L bottle of drinking water for free.

The setting of this Hotel is breathtaking. In the middle of a rice field with lake and mountain view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights to do a Safari in Yala National Park. The rooms are neet with AC and fan. On every floor are small seating areas (incl hammocks) where you can enjoy the view with a cold drink and a good book. Highly recommend.
