Room clean, curteous and friendly staff.

A hidden gem. The food at the roof top cafe/bar is amazing - breakfast, lunch and dinner all 10/10. Lovely atmosphere. Rooms are great, slightly basic but you don’t need anymore than you have. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Excellent value for money! The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and the dining area on the fourth floor has a beautiful ambiance with delicious food.

All the staff were kind and I was able to stay with peace of mind! The service was also good and I was able to relax. Thank you! I will stop by again when I come to Weligama.

Really enjoyed my stay here, ended up extending to stay a full week. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is kind and the food on the rooftop cafe is some of the best in the area. Special thanks to the owner Hirushan, enjoyed having morning coffee with him. Best wishes.

Our stay at Scenic Bay Weligama was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that truly made us feel at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of surfing and exploring. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach and close to great cafes and restaurants, yet still peaceful and quiet.

The hotel is nice, simple, and clean, although it's a bit more basic than it appeared on the website. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location isn't the best in Weligama in terms of proximity to beaches and restaurants. However, there are a couple of good, simple, and inexpensive local restaurants nearby, and getting around by tuk-tuk was easy enough. It's a shame about the rooftop; it's very nice, but it closes quite early (at 9:00 p.m.), which prevented us from enjoying the relaxing evening we had hoped for. Breakfast is good and plentiful, but the service speed was a major drawback. It took at least an hour every day (even for a simple plate of fruit!) even when we had informed them the previous evening that we had tight schedules for a booked tour. We suggest they either simplify the dishes or consider offering a small buffet to provide better service for guests who have activities or excursions, or simply want a quicker, lighter meal. It's also worth noting that an hour to serve a meal appears to be a common Sri Lankan practice, which we encountered everywhere. We'd rate it 3.5 if that were an option on TripAdvisor.
