La Réserve Eden is a nice small luxury hotel, very well place in front of the Zurich lake, at walking distance of several points of interest at the heart of the city. I booked a room with a large terrace on the first floor. The terrace is quite nice, although I was not able to fully enjoy it due to the May weather, cold and windy during my stay. And the street just below it (Utoquai) is rather busy and noisy, which could make the experience less enjoyable. The room has been very nicely renovated by Philippe Stark, I love very much. Weak point is the lack of storages and wardrobes, as well as not so many amenities provided. I’ve tried the Kitchen & Bar, a very good 1* restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff there are really warm, kind and attentive. They didn’t just provide excellent service but made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Could not say the same about a housekeeper lady or other who does our turn down service, she clearly showed irritation and displeasure when I asked for the room to be turned down later. Such reactions make guests feel uncomfortable and are not in line with the level of hospitality one would expect. In the contrary the bellboys and doormen are exquisitely nice, I was positively pleased they greeted me with my name, while this is the first time I came to the hotel. The last thing that I also regret in this otherwise lovely hotel is the lack of a spa, although the hotel does provide in-room massage performed by external therapist.

I have stayed in other La Reserve hotels but the Zurich Eden au Lac is now my favourite. Fantastic interiors - comfort and furnishings. Super staff - all. The general manager Nicole Zandt greeted me when I arrived and later helped me secure a table in the rooftop restaurant which in the warm weather is apparently always over subscribed. The hotel also introduced me to Sparkling Tea 'Champage' - a much appreciated alternative to alcohol. It was left in my room - complimentary and really delicious. Thanks to everyone - I will be back

A place with history - yet modern - elegant and casual at the same time. Settled almost directly at the Lake. Very close to Opera House surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. Definetly the posher part of Zurich.

WOW! luxury hotel in every sense of the work. Perfectly positioned for walking the city. Lovely staff, very attentive. We had a room overlooking the water and a balcony, very nice indeed. Make sure you have a meal in the restaurant, great experience. All in all 5 star!

A great hotel! Perfect location and top service. We spent a night there, the room was amazing with direct view to the Zurich lake.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except it is not on the Lake but a main street is in front. I had ordered a room with a lake view with a terrace thinking that there was no street. However, it was quiet at night but I am sure during the summer it probably will be noisy. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is very good.

Modern interiors in a historic building, just a short walking distance to everything. The hotel was spotless, the staff was super friendly, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the DJ and the low-key buzz at the lounge in the early evening. Although the bathrooms were on the smaller side, everything else about the hotel made up for that.

Hard to find appropriate words to describe a most nice experience. It has been a good and friendly staying. Just keep it up this way.

I’ve been a lot of times on the roof top bar, but first time staying at the hotel. We had a fantastic upgrade to room with a lake view fabulous, thank you very much! The front office team all of them were super kind and attentive to our wishes! Highlight for me was also the breakfast, perfect service, the best French toast ever and Kristina was the best ♥️

The actual experience was vastly different from the pictures on the platform; I felt cheated. The lake-view room, costing over 10,000 yuan a night, had a messy balcony covered in flags, offering only a sliver of lake view. The room itself was pitifully small, cramped even for one person… Breakfast was meager, and the tableware was filthy (I asked the staff to change the plates twice, but by the third time they brought them, they were completely unappetizing).

Besides the good location (right next to Bahnhofstrasse), the only redeeming quality was the elderly doorman. Hearing I was taking a taxi to Interlaken, he specifically reminded the driver to be careful and make sure to take me to my destination. The four-star service rating is only for the old man; otherwise, I wouldn't give it a single point.
