Smoking area is nicely set. A couple of ashtrays, chairs, tables are all set. You don’t need to stand to smoke. All good for smokers.
A special thank you to Mr. Panagiotis — he was truly outstanding: remarkably helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. He made all the difference and went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth.
I will definitely come back, honestly just for him. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, the food and beverage experience was genuinely poor. Dinner in the restaurant downstairs was one of the worst I’ve had at a Marriott property. The spaghetti carbonara was frankly atrocious, easily one of the worst I’ve ever eaten. To make matters worse, the manager ignored me for at least 15 minutes while serving other tables. Eventually, a bartender took my order, seemingly out of pity. The manner of the manager was rude throughout, and no one asked how my meal was at any point. Had I not been tired and keen to leave, I would not have paid for it.
The lounge itself was pleasant, but breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were cold and unappetising, with the bain-marie clearly not functioning properly.
Overall, this is a nice hotel with good rooms and a handy location, but it is seriously let down from a gastronomic perspective. My strong advice: avoid the restaurant downstairs at all costs.
