Dhow Inn Boutique Hotel in Paje

The Dhow Inn is the most relaxing place. Rooms are perfect, beds so comfortable. You have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in your room plus water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk daily. Staff super friendly, drinks amazing and food superb. As we are in low season the food is al a carte as low occupancy. The portions are huge!!! The pools are fantastic, beach is lovely also. We did a day trip to see the red monkeys then onto prison island then stone town. Well worth doing. We had a massage in hotel which was really nice plus they have a lovely boutique shop which I purchased a gorgeous handbag. You can have dinner on the sand which is so lovely. They have a little cat cafe which is brilliant. The cats are so friendly and Joanna the manager cares for them with so much love. You can make a donation to enable the vet to see to any cats if needed. An acrobatic show came to the hotel, amazing! The weather is a gamble this time of year! We had a couple of showers but we have had glorious sunshine, super hot. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

i spent 15 nights at this hotel the location was on point as i wanted a beach hotel but wanted to engage with the local people at the same time. The location of the DI was exactly what i needed I felt safe at peace and was just able to go about my spiritual business. There was an array of local restaurants that catered for every kind of diet Vegan/ vegetarian, pescatarian etc where my room was situated 206 was brilliant i really was able to find myself. the food was wholesome tasteful with all the spices. i had regular contact with the following managers Sarah and Joanna who regularly asked how i was and what i had been up too. Ibrahim on the desk had been very helpful before i had left the UK and made sure my request were all met. therefore i had a trouble free holiday. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially located where it is near all the shops, beach and local restaurants

Lovely hotel in a great beach location, 10 seconds walk from hotel to sea. Food really nice, had fantastic fish soup. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tide goes out really far and is good area to find starfish. Kite surfing all along beach.

The hotel was everything we hoped for and more. The room was clean, dry, and comfortable, with no unpleasant smells or signs of dampness. Everything felt well-maintained, and we didn’t see a single insect indoors during our entire stay. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the beds made it easy to get a good night’s sleep.

The service was absolutely incredible — the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was great, and even though the all-inclusive package covered only breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all drinks and snacks were free throughout the day, which was a really nice touch.

Everything felt professional, organized, and made with care. It was simply a peaceful, comfortable hotel where everything worked exactly as it should — the perfect place to enjoy the holiday.

Dhow Inn is the epitome of a great hotel right on tbe beach. Cool calm colours, top service and amazing pools. Its very relaxed without that big plastic resort feel. 10 out of 10!

We booked this hotel only 1 week before we were due to arrive as our initial hotel cancelled on us due to maintenance issues We arrived around 6am and was met by a lovely man on reception who explained a few of the main points about the hotel. We got the key to our room ,as we had booked it for the day before. We booked a premium room on an all inclusive basis. Breakfast was fine with limited options to pick from. Both lunch and dinner was of a better standard with various options to pick from or you could have the A la carte menu in the evening. Same choices every night though plus you had to pay a premium for a few options. Drinks were ok with local spirits used. If you wanted premium spirits then you pay extra for them. Just be careful when ordering as on occasions when I ordered rum and cokes I was given bacardi rum and the next day I had to sign for payment. This issue was resolved quickly by management. All in all the hotel is well managed and all the staff were very friendly and really do look after you. Too many to mention. Entertainment is limited. Only 1 show every week and the same show the following week. No games or entertainment during the day. The hotel also offers various trips but we never took up the offer as we hired a scooter from a local company just outside the hotel and travelled all around the island.

After a bit of a rocky start - due to the 'all inclusive' package and management!! I can honestly say this is a great place to stay. The hotel is very chill and relaxing. No problems with sunbeds or overcrowding. The food is amazing, especially the dinnertime menu. Staff are all friendly and helpful. It's in a great area to go out and about (night time included). Overall a fantastic little hotel - would totally recommend 100%

The hotel has a nice environment. The service is also good, but the food doesn't seem that rich. Overall, it's a good experience by the sea. Highly recommended. There are relatively few Chinese people on vacation; most of them are Europeans and Americans!
