An Unforgettable Experience in Zanzibar

My partner and I were lucky enough to spend three days at this beautiful hotel overlooking the sea, in the heart of the village of Pwani Mchangani. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed not only by the staff, who were always attentive and kind, but also by the local culture, which made us feel right at home.

The atmosphere of this place is magical: the hotel, small and intimate, is perfect for those seeking peace and authenticity. Every detail is well thought out, and the view of the sea is simply breathtaking. We spent unforgettable days surrounded by natural beauty and the kindness of the people.

We already miss everything and hope to return soon. Thank you for making our first trip to Zanzibar so special!

We spent two wonderful weeks at Sofia Sea View, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs with professionalism and warmth. The hotel was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Our room was spacious and offered all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The food at Sofia Sea View hotel was excellent. Every meal was delicious, and we enjoyed each one. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and satisfying retreat. We would definitely return!

We booked in for half board & were not disappointed as Azziza & Rashid, the chefs are excellent at their craft. As Sofia only has 3 rooms, the chefs were able to pretty much cook anything we requested within reason. Breakfasts were good and varied & supper was our own choice during our 7 night stay. We sampled everything from a seafood platter to local curries & all were excellent. Our room was spacious & well furnished & the aircon. worked very well. The pool was great for cooling off as the beach was not as clean as we would have liked. The seaweed harvesting was interesteng to watch & also the "planting' of a new harvest during our stay. All The staff were very friendly & keen to make our stay as good as possible. Thanks to Natty, Lily, Davide, Zuhura, Thelma & the gardener (sorry forgot his name) Apologies for any names misspelt!! We definitely recommend Sofia Sea View for those travelers who are looking for a quiet break with great food etc. & whilst it would be good to be close to the local village in normal circumstances, we found that due to the Covid situation we were reluctant to interact. (our choice)!Sofia is situated in a local fishing village with little else close by. Just the odd other resort, so a little quiet for us. We found the beach quite scruffy which was disappointing as there is a nursery school on the one side of Sofia & an informal creche on the other & they did not clear their part of the beach, but left lots of washed up rubbish above the high tide line. It's a shame they don't teach the children about the environment & have a clean up organised involving the village. We would have gladly joined in to help.

Nice israeli food

I really enjoyed the food with its middle east touch and the friendly and impeccable service. And the fish was always cooked to perfection. Nice sea view location with just few tables. It's not easy to find as there's no sign on the beach or on the road. Use Google maps.
