Riu Palace Zanzibar Hotel in Nungwi

Already saving up to return. I LOVED everything, Rebecca at the buffet restaurant and the Indian manager were exceptionally good to me.

We LOVEDDDDDD (!!!!!!!) it here!! So much so that we decided to book twice in the same vacation. We hadn't booked anything for the last part of our honeymoon, and we decided to come back to end our honeymoon here. The service is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly (genuine, not the fake friendliness), the rooms are amazing and the beach is soo clean and beautiful. The food is also amazing!! Which is really not common at all inclusive resorts. A special thanks to Khadija from the reception who recognized us when we came back for the second time and even upgraded our room. Can't wait to come back here ❤️

Amazing hotel to stay. Being an avid traveller, I can say this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. The food is exceptional in quality and quantity. The staff are very friendly and cater to all needs. Such a lovely place to be to relax and enjoy the all-inclusive vibes. All staff are smiling and show so much care towards you. We were specially looked after by Abdallah who mostly works in Ginger bar and also Ibrahim who works in the restaurant. They looked after us so well. I'd 100% recommend this hotel and will be vising again

We stayed in both Jumbo and Palace. We checked into the hotel at night, they gave us a room near the reception (the reception is more modest compared to Jumbo).
Our room was 300 and was terribly far from the restaurant and activities, it was hard to walk up the hill. But you could ask to take you by buggy.

In the first hours of our stay, I seemed to like Palace less, but then I realized its specialty. This hotel is more secluded, quieter, there are more older tourists, everything is measured. Very beautiful views of the beach. Lots of secluded places, I really liked the pool near the Crystal restaurant.

The cuisine is not very varied. Over 6 days, a couple of dishes changed, everything else is standard. But my diet has a special feature, I can't eat gluten. The staff tried and responded to any of my requests, they brought me gluten-free bread.
We went to three a la carte restaurants.
Iya - Greek restaurant, not bad
I really liked Crystal both for the food and the ambience
The steak restaurant was a bit of a let down (The meat was very tough.)
Otherwise, everything was great. Nice, caring staff, always saying hello and smiling, always ready to help. Clean and cozy.

By the way, the security on the beach tries not to let the sellers of everything and anything who walk along the beach get close to the guests, because there is no escape from them. This is another huge plus for the hotel.

It is a bit pricey but the service and food very good. It is an all inclusive resort and everything is free. They have a bar and service for 24 hours. They have multiple restaurants and one of their restaurant open three times a day and there is another restaurant that opens till late. You can use RIU Jambo resort facilities. There are about four or five restaurants open for dinner time but to get a table you have to book and it is hard to find a table there and it is fully booked, well I stayed for two days and all those restaurants were fully booked.

Friendly staff, hotel located on a beautiful beach but no restaurants, shops around.
Often power cuts during the day.
