Loved this rustic resort. The beach was private with white sand, suitable balance of sun and shade as well as being close to the bar. We booked the best room in the resort and it didn’t disappoint. The bathroom was amazing but I especially appreciated all the carvings around the resort. Thank you to the Viking team.

The hotel is a bit removed from all the hustle and bustle, which we really enjoyed. There weren't crowds of people, but at the same time, we loved taking an evening stroll along the path to the center. The hotel has its own small beach, not many people, and there's enough space for everyone. You can also walk to Long Beach. The rooms are compact but have everything you need. We had a sea view. There are some small inclines with steps. Breakfasts are tasty, but a bit too late for us as we're early birds. Overall, it's a solid 4-star hotel.

A very nice hotel located outside the main center, but accessible both on foot (25 minutes) and by taxi boat (300 baht return). The hotel also provides a scheduled shuttle service (not many).
We stayed in room D1, which I recommend, as it faces the sea.
The restaurant is very good.
There's also an off-site massage center on the beach with very reasonable prices (400 or 500 baht for one hour).

I had a wonderful stay at Viking Resort on Phi Phi Island! Our room tucked away in the jungle was absolutely amazing — peaceful, unique, and full of character. The beach is right in front of the Villas. Very private and relaxing. The location is perfect if you enjoy walking: it’s right between the beautiful Long Beach and the town, making it easy to explore both sides of the island. Only 20 minutes away from town.
The only downsides were that a few mosquitos managed to make their way inside, and there was a smell from the bathroom when using the shower. But aside from that, the resort itself is fantastic, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, a great experience and a place I’d happily recommend!

Recommend if you want a jungle vibe far from centre. Bring repellents and water shoes. Fantastic details and woodwork across the Resort and rooms. Cheapest bungalow is really small - consider upgrading if you plan to stay for longer than 1-2 days. Surprisingly - best breakfast across all other (5* too) hotels during our trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Viking Resort. The views from the room were breathtaking – waking up to them each morning was a highlight. Housekeeping deserves particular recognition as the room was made up perfectly every day and the attention to detail was impressive.
The resort’s private beach was excellent and we used nearby Love Beach often. The room and bathroom were spacious, well decorated and equipped with all necessary amenities.
Breakfast offered a good variety although the quality was as expected. The location suited us well as it is around a 25-minute walk from town which provided a welcome break from the bustle. The walk is not suitable for those with mobility impairments.
Staff were generally very friendly. Overall we were impressed with the resort and would be happy to return.

This hotel didn’t fully meet our expectations. The rooms were very small, once we opened our suitcases, there was barely any space left to walk. The location is also quite far from the center, so it takes a while to get anywhere, even just to find a place to eat.
On the positive side, the hotel provides transport from the port upon arrival and back to the port when you leave, which is very convenient. The room was clean, and the breakfasts offered a wide selection of dishes and were tasty.
Overall, there were some good aspects, but the stay wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped.

Location is just perfect, far away from the centre to be quiet and relaxing enough, but still accessible by walk (unlike the hotels along the Long Beach where you need to take long tail boat). The rooms are cleaned well, the breakfast is really good, there is a free transfer from/till the port at check-in and check-out days. The hotel has kind of its own little quiet beach. One thing to concern: one can hear the long tail boats starting from the early morning quite laud, so if you are a sensitive sleeper avoid the sea view suits.
