Sealey Resort Koh Larn in Jomtien Beach

Hello, I understand that the hotel location is very good it’s right next to the beach, and in the morning you can enjoy the fresh sea air and nice atmosphere. However, the room I received was in very poor condition.

The bed sheets and blankets clearly had not been changed and looked extremely worn out. Unfortunately, the hotel was almost fully booked, so there was nothing much I could do at that point. Still, I paid 1,500 THB per night for this room.

In my opinion, if I were to stay at this hotel, the reasonable price should be around 500–800 THB per night at most, which would better match the actual condition of the room. I strongly recommend that anyone planning to stay here should inspect the room carefully on arrival before deciding to stay.

For me, I can honestly say that while the location is excellent, the room itself is seriously damaged and not worth paying a four-digit price per night. Personally, I wouldn’t value this room at more than 300 THB. Very disappointing.

The hotel is very rundown, it seems that it’s been left to a group of young people to run with no support and maybe being told just do the best. The lobby entrance is not very inviting, the room TV, even though I won’t watch, does not work and it’s just a wire hanging out the wall. The shower has no hot water. The safety deposit box is missing in the room I am in, the decor of the room is very old and tired. No maintenance at all. The gardens are not maintained at all. You should compare the pictures now with whatever site you book with, Agoda or a Booking.com as it is completely different.

Room at first impression ok, but then we found imperfections like a bit mouldy bathroom, missing toilet paper, no breakfast, no internet connection in the room, dirty and smelly curtains, tv not working, no room telephone etc. It is not definitely worth for the money. I can not recommend this resort at all. Unfortunately iI had not read previous review.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The room price was 1,000 THB per night.

Room condition:
Very old renovation, peeling walls, mold in the room, and a strong damp smell.

Bed linen:
There was bed linen in the room, but the hotel has no spare sets at all.
We asked to change the bed linen and were refused. Instead, they offered us to move to another room.

Moving to another room:
In the new room there were no towels.
The staff said there were no towels available and promised to bring them in 4 hours.
After 4 hours, nobody brought the towels. We had to remind them again.

Summary:
– Mold and damp smell in the room
– Refusal to change bed linen
– No towels
– Promise not kept
– Very poor room condition
– Price does not match the quality or service level

Even for a budget hotel, this is unacceptable. Not recommended.
