CheeVa Beach Resort in Baan Tai

Our stay at CheeVa Beach Resort was far better than we could have imagined. The resort is located just outside Ban Thai, in a very quiet and peaceful area—perfect for relaxation. The neighboring resorts follow the same calm style, with no loud music or crowds, which really adds to the tranquil atmosphere.

Within a 5-minute walk, there are two 7-Eleven stores, a small food court for those who don’t want to go far, and several local restaurants and shops. The beach is spotless and great for swimming when the tide is high. When the tide goes out—especially in the afternoon during sunset—it becomes absolutely magical, ideal for long walks while watching the sun go down.

The food at the restaurant was delicious; everything we tried tasted fresh and truly home-cooked. We didn’t use the pool because the sea was so beautiful, but it seems like a very convenient option for families with children.

The rooms were spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. The staff were outstanding—extremely kind, professional, and always willing to help. The resort offered complimentary transfers from and to the pier, which was incredibly convenient. Whatever we needed, they assisted us immediately, and they even surprised us with a free one-hour massage.

The beach in front of the hotel is not usable. Too shallow water, which is vanished during low tide.
The personnel of the hotel try to clean the beach every day, but the fight with garbage from the sea is unfortunately uneven... Also there are many broken glasses hidden in the sand.
The personnel of the hotel is friendly and always ready to help.
The restaurant is not their strong asset... and needs improvement.
Also, the entrance of the hotel, needs a little embellishment.
We stayed there for 4 weeks and we would stay again.

Everything was perfect during our stay at this small family owned resort. The rooms/bungalows are spacious and clean, perfectly suited for families. The staff is very nice, the food at the restaurant is among the best we had on the island. Highly recomended!

Loved it here so much we ended up staying 10 nights. Right on a quiet beach, comfortable accommodations, amazing staff and good food. There are sunbeds, a pool table, a SUP board, a decent pool, massage onsite and a lot of support for activities and taxis. We just left today and miss it already. Walking distance to restaurants, 7/11s and the night market, and otherwise scooter rental is closeby.
Minor downsides: the food is good but not great (although always freshly made) and we sometimes had smells from the sceptic tank enter the bathrooms.

Cheeva Beach Resort was my favorite and best value stay during my 2.5 months in Koh Phangan. It was the only place that I returned to for a second stay.

The staff are wonderful - for example they surprised us one morning with free breakfast and when we checked out we got a free taxi ride to our next destination.

Everything works fine and free water and nescafe is always a plus. Location is quiet and it's easy to get around with scooter.

Only cons I could think of is that they could easily renovate the pools fence and the pool table has seen its best days already.

The cats are cute and we gave them finnish names.

The best services ever ! This is cute small beach front resort. With friendly staff and top notch services. Room is basic and clean but services are TEH BEST. Highly recommend if you looking for quite place and good services this is your choice. Room is BIG as well

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights and I don’t have a bad word to say. I got the feel it as a family run business (I could be wrong but this is testament to the nice atmosphere around the place). Staff really helpful and friendly, rooms clean, good location and it’s situated right on the beach front with a pool also. Fantastic

As regular visitors to Thailand we as a family of four were collected at the pier and brought to Cheeva Beach Resort. As other people have said in their reviews nothing is too much and is done by what is by far the highest quality Thai service possible and is so genuine and caring for your needs on your holiday/vacation. It's a family run business and such pride is taken in providing excellent clean rooms, Awesome Thai and Western food and drinks. We were lucky enough to share our New Years Celebration's with them and a fire show and fireworks display made the evening even more special. It's almost like they make you feel like part of their family. We most definitely will return, and Thank you to all at Cheeva Beach Resort for the service, Excellent Clean rooms, Swimming Pool ,Food and being so genuine, So book here if you want a real Thai experience. insane value property. very relaxing beach resort. you have everything you could want (like in 4-5 stars resorts) - free water at reception to refill bottles, beach towels, sunloungers , a cool vibe beach area which they clean everyday , good restaurant (one of the best pad thai we had in Thailand) with affordable prices where you can eat breakfast and other meals (we ate there most of the time), the staff is amazing and caring. also there is massage on the beach at normal price and it was very good. they even provide scooters for rental and offered us a free pick up from the ferry when we arrived and drop off when we leave (normally they provide only one way for free but as they were picking other guests anyway when we left they were kind and did not charge for it). at walking distance there is a muay thai trading ground (on the way to main street) . we also liked the night market cafe in the town where you can find good western food, live music and nice hippie vibe (i recommend trying pulled pork sandwich from there) . as for the rooms, you have everything you need - good and silent Daikin AC, safebox , nice shower , even hair conditioner. also house keeping was very good (kudos to them for towels arrangemenr).

This is a great little gem! The service was excellent throughout! Nothing was too much trouble.. from organising bikes to boats to taxis, it was all done efficiently and with a smile. The food at the restaurant is delicious and they have a large varied menu. Highly recommend!
