Awful accom / food.. zero service.. paid for 7 nights .. big mistake.. at best novelty for 1 night..£60/ night !!!!! £20 would be too much…. positives.. good location and Wi-Fi.,.2/10 max

Very relaxing, unique spot on a beautiful beach. No frills accommodation that is clean and quiet (apart from a rooster). Staff friendly and helpful. If you like tea take some tea bags 😂

Lovely little hut on the beach. The location is next to very large hotel chains, which is why the small town is also very expensive.

Great location and a good restaurant .
However ..the comments about cockerals early morning is true, started at 6 am and kept going.
It didn't bother us but could some I imagine.

The Micky Monkey is a unique property. Our room was clean and air conditioned with a heat pump. It's directly on the beach. There is a restaurant / bar onsite. There are only a dozen or so private rooms and if you are looking for a quiet, authentic experience, this is perfect.

We wanted a rustic little Mom and Pop hotel right on the beach and we got that! If you need a lobby with a concierge and a mocca latte at the restaurant, this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, no cabana, run by a family, get awakened by roosters kind of hotel, this is your place. Our room was air conditioned, had very warm water, a nice hard bed, and was absolutely charming. Their little restaurant was pretty good and their bar wasn't bad either - think smaller. Now even smaller. There you go. The fleas were pretty bad in the sand and there were quite a few flies buzzing around, but the water was great! I loved it! A great alternative to the chain hotels where you can lose track of where in the world you even are - because they all look the same.

Stunning location, a little far from the main parts of Phuket but it’s perfect to either escape the noise or ease yourself into the chaos that’ll unfold. It’s not The Ritz so don’t expect anything more than what you paid for but everything is clean and well put together, there’s no reception area everything happens at the bar which I found charming！

This place has the wow factor! Despite having basic facilities, it is comfortable and clean in a beach location that is stunning, amazing, quiet, relaxing, chilling…..need I go on! It is positioned between posh hotels, yet has much more charm and authenticity. There is full access to the entire beach for miles. The chickens roaming around and the beach massage huts give a special charm of ‘Old Thailand’. Food is available in the outside restaurant and while choice is limited, it is tasty and cheap. Perhaps fruit at breakfast would help. Staff are friendly, not gushy, but efficient and helpful. We moved on to other busier parts of the island and to more modern hotels but regretted that we hadn’t stayed longer at Micky Monkey. Def. one of the nicest places I’m ever likely to visit. Very affordable and excellent value for money. I’d thoroughly recommend the beach villa/ bungalow. It’s not a campsite by any means!

The hotel front desk has a very bad attitude and cannot communicate in English. The room is also bad. The toilet is alone outside. You need to go down the steps. There is sand under the steps. Your shoes are very dirty when you lie down in the toilet. There were still chickens outside. They started crowing early in the morning. When I woke up, I thought I was living in a chicken pen.
