Mida Grande Resort Hotel in Surin

Great hotel in Surin Beach area. The staff was very nice. The room decor was modern and spacious. I enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet. Enjoy the good coffee and soft serve daily. The multiple pools and loungers were great. Had a chance to use both gyms during my stay. A short walk to delicious Thai restaurants and massages. Will definitely stay again.

Very spacious room and a large balcony to hang and dry our diving gears!! Very thoughtful and sweet for the staff to offer birthday surprises for this memorable stay! Pools are great too!!

We recently stayed at the Mida Grande Resort in Phuket for a family vacation, and overall, it was a memorable experience especially if you’re staying in one of their villas. We had a beautiful three-bedroom villa complete with a private pool. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully designed with modern interiors, and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean.

The staff were warm and welcoming, reflecting the renowned Thai hospitality, which we truly appreciated. However, we found the main restaurant to be slightly outdated, with limited dining options. Given Thailand’s rich culinary scene, we were hoping for a more diverse and appealing menu. Unfortunately, the food selection didn’t quite meet our expectations.

While the hotel appeared to be fully booked, it never felt crowded. The main pool area is relatively small, which might explain why it was often quiet. That said, the rooftop pool was a highlight offering stunning sunset views and a great bar to unwind in the evenings.

One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Coming from the Middle East, we had higher expectations, particularly around the variety of fruits available. Despite Thailand’s incredible fruit selection, the breakfast buffet was quite limited — with some mornings offering only watermelon.

In summary, if you’re booking a villa, the Mida Grande Resort is a great choice for families. It provides privacy, comfort, and a peaceful atmosphere — a lovely setting for a relaxing stay in Phuket.

The staff are super friendly, Bao, Jack & the whole team provided an outstanding service and nothing was too much trouble! The room was always clean and the food of a good standard! I would definitely be more than happy to come back again! Phuket is a beautiful place too, and the locals are so lovely and helpful. 😄

The room is spacious, food is decent and entire resort area is large. Good for family stay. Near-by area is very convenient, exchange place, restaurant, convenient stores are all there. 

Our stay at Mida Grande was lovely. We went for the all include package which included a large menu and selection of drinks to choose from (the actual menu’s were affordable and lots to choose from too for anyone that wanted just room). The staff were so lovely and made us feel super welcome. Areas are clean and pools were a great place to relax. Hotel is a short walk from Surin beach in a very quiet yet friendly area. All other tourist places are a cab journey away.
