If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with access to a private beach, this is the perfect place. It’s ideal for relaxing away from the crowds and enjoying a calm, scenic environment.
The location, however, is quite far from main attractions like Patong Beach and Old Town, and transportation can be a bit challenging. I often had to book premium rides to get from the resort to different places, and sometimes used bikes to return. I don’t have an International Driving Permit (IDP), so I couldn’t rent a bike myself, but the resort does offer bike rental options, which is very convenient for those who are eligible.
What truly stood out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, often checking in to see how I was doing. Since I was traveling solo, they made an extra effort to engage in warm conversations and gave helpful suggestions about things to do nearby. Their kindness made my stay feel even more comfortable and welcoming.
Although breakfast is not provided, there is a beautiful restaurant right next to the property where you can enjoy all your meals with a stunning ocean view — definitely a highlight. The resort also offers complimentary kayaks, which you can use freely, adding a fun touch to the overall experience.
The rooms are spacious, neat, and clean, with a minimalist interior that creates a very calming atmosphere. Overall, it’s a wonderful choice if you value tranquility, privacy, and warm hospitality over proximity to the busy tourist spots.

This is the best resort on the island! I own an American Jivamukti yoga studio, Phuket All Yoga, In Patong Beach. This resort is my home away from home when I want to come to the other side of the island. They have the most wonderful and friendliest staff, high thread, count sheets and towels, beautiful amenities, and the cleanest resort on the island. The owners are very kind, hospitable, and make sure that you feel like part of their family when you stay at this beautiful resort. The beach is perfect for stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, hunting for seashells, or just reading a book underneath the mature trees on the impeccable manicured grounds. This is one of my favorite resorts in the entire world.

Remember that honeymoon beach house from the *Twilight* movie? This place is exactly like that! It's so leisurely, comfortable, and relaxing. You truly feel at one with nature here! The private beach access felt safe and comfortable, the sand is incredibly fine, and the views are absolutely stunning! My room opened right onto the pool and the beach! The hotel staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and always greeted us with a warm smile.☺️ Upon check-in, we were offered refreshing cold towels and a delicious vanilla-infused welcome drink. They also patiently explained travel tips and other details about our stay. The wonderful lady at reception, in particular, was incredibly kind and patient. Even though I'd forgotten most of the English I'd learned and sometimes didn't quite catch everything, she patiently re-explained it all. The bathroom was completely odor-free! The hotel provides purified water for rinsing, so there's no need to worry about any peculiar taste or smell. The room had a lovely terrace for relaxing, and they even provided mosquito coils and a repellent burner. If I didn't have other travel plans to rush off to, I would have truly loved to stay for several more days! I genuinely hated to leave! 🤣

The hotel is located in a quiet bay and boasts its own private beach. The view upon stepping out is just as stunning as pictured. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Hard to swim because of the rocks, but hotel itself is nice.

We stayed here for 3 days in the last week of November. The location is amazing, right next to the beach. They also provide kayaks free of cost. The room was cozy and well kept. Drinking water is complimentary. Restaurant next door serves decent cocktails and food. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. If you want a peaceful vacation you must stay here.

There are some things that could be improved - At the time of checking out they inspected the minibar, it felt a bit disrespectful. Things like tours, rented bikes etc. are very pricey if you book with the hotel, at least 30-40% more compared to if you book directly. We requested for an extension to our stay - the price at which the room was listed later that day was 3k baht lower than what was quoted to us.

Edit - We were quoted 7K baht for a night, and the room was listed at 4k later that day.

The Mooring resort is great place to have your vacation. It is in quiet and beautiful area with a lot of greenery, trees and awesome nature. The bungalows are nice and clean. The beach is near and the pool is great as well. We had our room cleaned every single day. Even though the area is not full with restaurants and clubs, there are multiple options for eating, including ordering food on reception. The staff is great and very helpful! We really enjoyed our time and will be happy to visit again :)

I can honestly say that the Mooring Resort was one of the best parts of our trip to Thailand. It’s right on a quiet beach, so you can just roll out of bed and be by the water. The resort has sunbeds under the trees, so you can chill all day with plenty of shade during the hottest hours. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from taxis to restaurant recommendations. We had an amazing three days and will definitely be back next time we’re in Phuket.

A very quiet part of Phuket. Clean beach little going on at night. This resort is ideal for the traveller who doesn’t want to partake to the noise and bustle. You can always organise a taxi out grab to Phuket town.
