Ao Prao Resort in Samet Island

Incredible resort. Spacious and clean rooms. Excellent service. Comfy sunbeds right on the beach. Included ferry from mainland. Right side of the island for sunsets. Only negative is that this side of the island is owned mostly by the same resort chain so the options for variation in food is limited so would not recommending spending more than 3-4 days.

Good place nice staff great services. The location are very hood.

Wonderful stay at Ao Prao Resort

A very cozy hotel with an excellent location right on a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal-clear water. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet — perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun and by the sea.

The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The breakfast is delicious, the grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing — exactly what you need for a perfect holiday.

We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy nature and comfort on Koh Samet. 🌊

We loved our stay . Had a few request for breakfast and the staff made a plan to accommodate us. Really appreciated that so thank you guys . The resort is at the end of the road which gives you 90% privacy / motor bikes aren’t allowed and day guests drift in and out . If you want to walk to the nearest little cove it will take you about 20 min , otherwise you can catch a “ taxi” which will cost you 200 Baht- or 250 Baht to the center , where you will find just past the tourists doctors on the left the best Thai food ever.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the water. Seafood and breakfast buffet were good. We went on a private 3 hr snorkelling trip which was fantastic!! Went early in the morning and had snorkelling sites to ourselves. The water was crystal clear at Ao Prao and enjoyed the daily craft and beachside massage. Overall, we had an amazing time. Perfect way to end our trip to Thailand!

My husband and I had a truly wonderful stay at Ao Prao Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with such kindness and professionalism. Every interaction was warm and genuine, making us feel cared for the entire time. The food was a highlight of our trip! The breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety of fresh and delicious choices, and we always looked forward to lunch and dinner with so many flavorful options. was a highlight of our trip! We also loved the peaceful atmosphere—no motorbikes or jet skis—just bird songs, waves, and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling and paddleboarding. We enjoyed a massage at the spa and although the do not offer manicure/pedicure options, there were many other services that made it good. The resort never felt crowded, making it easy to relax by the pool or on the beach chairs. We felt safe walking around in the evenings, and the free activities like yoga on Sundays, exciting fire shows on Friday nights, tie-dye and palm-leaf weaving added a fun, personal touch. This was the perfect mix of beauty, tranquility, and hospitality - we can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. It is relatively a quiet resort location and feel a little isolated. However, this can be a good thing if you're looking for some quiet beach time.

The staff is really helpful and will go all the way to make you feel welcome. The facilities are great. I appreciated the calm and exclusivity of the beach. I had to change my room because they gave me a twin bed ( and I'm travelling alone ) but I noticed that both the bathroom had the same issue : The sink is not as clean as you'd like to. In my first room, whenever I showered all the bathroom is flooded because of the door or maybe the whole design of the showed. That being said, I've enjoyed my stay and would've stayed longer if I could. It's frankly a good hotel, and the food is really delicious.
