Hotels with sea view in Ko Samet

Our only small quibble was the lack of sunloungers, though we appreciate the high occupancy whilst we were there. Nice room, some small plumbing issues though. I guess island amenities! Overall an excellent stay

When I arrived, the location they gave me was indeed good, the second row from the sea. Let's talk about the pros: 1. **Price**: It's the cheapest among all room types

The second time I booked a premier room for 2 nights in the Sai Kaew Resort. You get into the hotel and just feel well. It's modern, clean, quiet. Good breakfast (please offer bananas and nutella in future).

The whole travel to and from the island via the ferry and cars where your luggage is delivered to your room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent

Everything about this hotel is just great

I've stayed at this hotel three times. The first two times, I stayed in the Premier area. Last time, while walking around the hotel, I saw that the bungalows had great views, so this time I decided to stay in one

The rest of the new island always stuck. just 10 minutes, room clean new view see the sea. the bathroom had no tub and the toilet with the shower separate pool than นำ้ pretty big can swim out

This is our go-to accommodation whenever we visit Samet. It's shady and the staff are lovely and attentive. It's a shame that the room was only available for five days; I wish I could have stayed for ten

The service was excellent, and the accommodation was spotless. The natural scenery was breathtaking, offering fantastic photo opportunities. They also have a lovely swimming pool, and the food was delicious! 🤍

From the moment I checked in, I felt very welcomed by the front desk team, especially Khun Janphen. She was attentive, detail-oriented, and always ready to help with anything I needed

The room and facilities were very clean and well-kept. , they also hosted an outdoor movie, which was such a nice touch. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again

What a beautiful place. Bar with outside seating is perfect gor seeing besutiful Samed sunset. Drink are great. I had the Bird of Paradise.

Amazing resort on a private beach , service very attentive … food good and not overpriced

Cons: Unfortunately, the overall vibe of the hotel fell short of expectations. Despite its 5-star rating, we found the atmosphere lacking warmth and character. One significant disappointment was the dining options

While the location, right on the beach and surrounded by privacy, offered a serene setting, several aspects left much to be desired. Pros: The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning location

Accommodation: We opted for the front beach villa, which boasted beautiful surroundings and comfortable amenities. However, our experience was marred by the quality of the mattress

Beautiful beach , excellent service

There are no sun loungers, just tables on the sand. When it's high tide, the water comes right up to the hotel entrance, and when it's low tide in the evenings, it recedes about 200 meters, creating space for a walk

Breakfast is mediocre, and the service is too; everyone is a bit slow, but that's okay, it works for a couple of days' stay

We had a wonderful experience! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The pool and facilities were clean. The location was wonderful with direct access to a quiet beach.

Close to the beach, excellent service, and we were very happy with the room they assigned us.

This hotel isn't bad, it's stylishly designed, and the room is clean and tidy. The only downside is that there's no real beach directly attached to the hotel, and the access is from the sea side

The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent

It was absolutely stunning, and if we could, we would have stayed for another week without hesitation. Breakfast would have been good if the food had been hot — unfortunately, everything was served cold

We had a bad experience in Koh Samet before arriving at Samed Ville Resort, so this stay really changed our perspective. To be completely honest, this might be the best beach on the island

The restaurant is quite overpriced for what it delivers. One downside was that the sunbeds were not included and had to be paid for separately

That said, the staff was always amazing, extremely kind, and very helpful throughout our stay

The place is maintained and cleaned by friendly staff. There is a well maintained swimming pool, however no sun shades or sun beds. The breakfast is minimal though with a small selection of food and mostly cold

This is served in a old canteen type building. When i was there in November i would estimate that the place was about 20% full if that. Also the nicer rooms don't seem to be advertised on the booking platforms

Thank you! Oh, and there's a small restaurant run by an old man to the north that's absolutely delicious! Try the Tom Yum Goong and Mama noodles! My husband and I, along with the Swedish couple at the next table, completely cleaned our plates

They also boast a stunning jungle-themed coffee shop, and the staff even offered us a discount. The only minor drawback was the air conditioning in our room, which was quite noisy, but otherwise, everything was excellent

Being close to Christmas, the evenings here left a wonderful impression on me! The room was quite spacious, with an IKEA-esque style. There's an outdoor balcony, perfect for reading in the morning

Baan is the closest of the four hotels to the pier (as shown in the last picture), which was a huge relief! It's just a 1-minute walk, saving us the hassle of getting a tuk-tuk

To the north, it's less crowded and beautifully scenic – I really love it here! Breakfast was also quite extensive, with several dishes you could select individually

But the real highlight is the location and the view! Being so close to the beach was perfect, and our room offered truly beautiful, breathtaking views of the coast

Absolutely loved how the bungalows looked from the outside and from the inside. Also one of the best beds during my Thailand trip. Restaurant was also a must-go. Good service, ocean view, tasty food

I love Pavillion resort at Ao Phai beach in Samed. Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice pool. The only downside was I found it difficult to get the shower at a good temperature, either too hot or too cold

Despite this, I would visit again!

What else would you need? Special note: as much as I love thai food, the pizza chef on this restaurant made amazing pizza 🤩

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the water. Seafood and breakfast buffet were good

If you want to walk to the nearest little cove it will take you about 20 min , otherwise you can catch a “ taxi” which will cost you 200 Baht- or 250 Baht to the center , where you will find just past the tourists doctors on the left the best Thai food ever

We went on a private 3 hr snorkelling trip which was fantastic!! Went early in the morning and had snorkelling sites to ourselves. The water was crystal clear at Ao Prao and enjoyed the daily craft and beachside massage

The breakfast is delicious, the grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing — exactly what you need for a perfect holiday. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again

Only negative is that this side of the island is owned mostly by the same resort chain so the options for variation in food is limited so would not recommending spending more than 3-4 days

The room was quite spacious and newly renovated. The location was excellent, close to both the sea and the main street, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. You can even pay with Alipay at 7-Eleven

Tonsak Resort is fabulous! Clean and so beautiful. The staff are friendly, and the food and drinks are delicious. It's also super conveniently located, with many restaurants, massage parlours, and two 7-11s nearby

So, if you're traveling with kids, it's probably best to book a family room, as paying extra doesn't guarantee a room change – you'll likely stay in the same one

Be aware that children over 4 years old (or was it 3?) incur an extra charge of 700 THB per day for the room, plus 200 THB per day for the buffet breakfast

The deluxe king and twin rooms have a small bed that an adult can sleep on. The hotel has a restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner

The prices are comparable to outside, though the portions are about half the size. The buffet breakfast was very rich and definitely worth it

The staff provided good service (though a little more smiling would be nice!). The room itself was clean, but there were a few spots with cobwebs. For breakfast, there was a good variety of options, including fruit

Everything was ok, except low amount of beach chairs and poor and repeatedly same breakfasts... and miriads of mosquitos, what is of course not hotel fail...

This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude

She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old

Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here

One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet

Upon arrival we were told that check in was ,2pm and the room was not ready, fair but was not contacted when the room was ready so booked in at 2pm

The staff are very accomodating and the service is excellent making our family feel like at home. It is located on a very beautiful beach with crystal clear water and a reef of the beach which you can snorkel

Lovely quiet spot at the end of the beach, staff were helpful and friendly, the cottages were large, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, not masses of choice but enough.

A nice hotel with very helpful staff. Choosing a seaside room on Trip was not clear, we ended up with a room further off the beach than I prefer. Staff moved us to a preferred room, without hassle

Best location we saw after visiting at least 6 beaches. Hotel is not operating at capacity so it’s very quiet. I wish the beach bar was open but there are plenty just steps down the beach

Another fantastic stay at c samet. We love the hotel position with beautiful view from the room and beaxh that is most quiet. People are very nice there too, hope to stay again soon Traveled as a family with a kid

The staff are superb as is the location. The renovation of the swimming pool is a welcome lift to the resort. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and can’t wait to go back

The room is clean, the view is good, next to the sea, but it's a pity there are noisy Chinese customers. So decided to stay just one night.

Excellent location on the beach. Close to all the restaurants on the beach and easy walking to a few bars and restaurants on the main street. I stayed in the garden apartments which were nice and cool

the Wi-Fi internet is not very strong and the hotel does not have its own restaurant, otherwise it seems one of the most luxurious on the island and reliable

The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff were nice and friendly. I would definitely return to this place

Two small caveats that don't merit a star deduction. One, the AC smelled bad for about one day. Second, in high season, the beach chairs are really crowded closely together. Not a big deal, just wanted to mention it

I was on the 4th floor and the hotel doesn't have an elevator, so of course I had to climb 4 flights of stairs, but it was worth it because the view from the top floor was amazing. The room was big and clean.

My review is for the boat tour. Boat 999. Excellent professional crew. Very friendly and personable. Really enjoyed my day snorkeling! Highly recommended 👍

They have a restaurant and they do boat tours, this is my second night and I have just completed a boat tour

The location is right opposite to beach with their restaurant in between. Rooms are like nice and clean but the orientation is like a dormitory with walls between the rooms and glass partition n door at room entrance

We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough

The Room: Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip

The water was clear and great for swimming right in front of the resort. Service & Food: The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out

The Location: Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area

If you want a total relax from the norm, then this is the place. The room with the sea view was fantastic. Clean and tidy throughout the resort. We ate there a few times in the evening and everything was freshly made

Starting at the pier to the boat driver ,the helpers, cleaners, reception, restaurant absolutely everyone was so nice and welcoming

The private beach was amazing and seeing the sunset from the infinity pool was priceless. A very relaxing place to stay. As it is a paradise spot, the instagram brigade were out in force most of the time

Next door resort restaurants include higher end Thai food and also an Italian restaurant (not to everyone's liking, but decent as well), all on the pricier end

This was our family's first ever Xmas abroad and Pandora made it the best Xmas ever! The rooms were spacious and perfect for our family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 kids aged 10, 8 and 4 and would be cleaned, with fresh towels provided, whenever we asked, daily if needed

The service is outstanding, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The food is very good, with plenty of choice, and the pools are great, especially for relaxing after a day exploring the island

The 2 pools offered variety and activity for the kids which meant that some days we didn't need to leave the resort

They couldn't have been more generous with their help and guidance and even booked us a stunning restaurant and location for our family Xmas meal :-) The food at the resort itself was very excellent and varied, with both local and western options

I stay here every time I visit the island, and I would not choose anywhere else. The staff is extremely, extremely kind and welcoming — there is absolutely nothing to complain about

Price for value was very low for us as we paid nearly 20'000 baht for a night (we stayed during high season, december). Had we payed 5000 baht or less it would've been less bad

We booked the garden view bungalow and it was as expected regarding the fair price. Clean place, free water daily, had no issues. There's plenty of stuff to choose from, including freshly made egg varieties and such

It's located at one of the best beaches on the island and there's no noise from bars like on other beaches. It's actually more of a hideaway than a party resort and this is what we were looking for

Don't let the negative reviews spook you, the staff is really friendly and they organize tours and taxis for you if you like
