We stayed 2 nights at this resort in a beach front bungalow.
The location was great, tucked right at the quiet end of the beach.
The rooms itself was nice, you are directly on the beach and in national park so can expect sand and some bugs/creatures about.
The bathroom was average. However for 2 nights suited us fine.
We had ate at the restaurant a few times. Food was nice. The bbq cooked on the beach was good
Overall we had a nice stay for 2 nights, however feel that was a nice amount of nights to stay.
The location was great, tucked right at the quiet end of the beach.

Great place to stay with lots to see and enjoy. Great place to relax and enjoy some quiet time or go for a fun swim in the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything.

We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough.
The Room:
Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and had that authentic island bungalow feel while still having modern amenities (the AC worked great!). Being just a few steps from the water made all the difference.
The Location:
Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area. The water was clear and great for swimming right in front of the resort.
Service & Food:
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of options to start the day.
If you are coming to Koh Samet, do yourself a favour and splurge a little for the Beach Cabana. It transforms the trip from a standard hotel stay into a real beach holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

At first they could not find the reservation. The room was good, old but wel kept and clean. Aircon worked well but the shower had no pressure. When we mentioned this at reception it was fixed within hours. The gardens were cut but the gardener left all cuttings whete they were so we cleaned our own path. The coffee and teacans were so dirty we did not even toych them, but thete was a coffeemachine that worked slowly as well. Bad coffee though🙃. Very good yoghurt, fresh baked/fried eggs and a choice of asian food. Only melon for fruit and juice was the usual sugarwater. Chairs with parasols and good matrasses on a great part of the beach, and although it was never clean of leaves, there were some guys shoving some leaves around every morning. This place has a lot going for it, but, like the rest of Samed, it lacks enthusiasm and selfrespect. High prices are okay, but only if the standard is a bit higher. There is trash EVERYWHEREon Samet, and I mean stinky big piles of black bags, matrasses and plastic bottles. Behind one beach where we walked to, it smelled as there was a corpse lying around. That was not at our beach luckily, but Samed is small and I think things can be ran a lot better with the amount of money coming in.

🏖️ Samed Cabana Resort – Relaxing Beach Stay.
We stayed here for two nights in a superior garden view bungalow. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom okay for the price.
We had two seafood dinners at the resort — everything was fresh and tasty. At night there was a fire show on the beach, really exciting!
Special thanks to Pleng, the staff who spoke good English and provided warm, friendly service.
The beach is beautiful — clear water, soft white sand, and blue sky.
Overall, a happy and relaxing stay! 🌴

The first room we stayed in, S36, had bugs crawling on the clothes on the sofa. The basic facilities were also bad, and the toilet had a terrible smell. We went to notify the front desk, and they just said they were sorry but didn't take any action. I couldn't stand the smell and bugs, so I asked if they could change our room. The reply was that it would cost another 1,000 baht. Since we couldn't stand the room, we had no choice but to pay the 1,000 baht. The next day, we stayed for another night. Because I was not feeling well, I had a nosebleed on the sheets. They demanded a 2,800 baht compensation before we could leave the island. If I didn't pay, they wouldn't let me leave. It was a very bad robbery. I asked if a woman would also be required to pay if she accidentally bleeds on the bed during her period. She said yes, which I don't understand at all. I find it ridiculous that a three-star hotel can't clean up the bloodstains. The hotel manager came over and told me to clean it, but even after that, I still had to pay 1,000 baht. I don't think any consumer wants to hear that. I'm here to consume, not to be taken advantage of. If I had truly damaged something, I would have gladly paid for it. But this was just a stain, and I couldn't accept that. However, since we had other plans, we had to compromise. Therefore, I strongly do not recommend this hotel. Please avoid it.

Beautiful beach with cabanas right on the beach. Mine had a sea view but was literally 10 meters from the beach. So peaceful
