Hotels on first line in Ko Samet

Moved to the Premier Deluxe zone, much more comfortable and with a partial view of the sea. Service was exceptional (as usually is in good level hotels in Thailand). Very nice breakfast with a lot of choices

Our only small quibble was the lack of sunloungers, though we appreciate the high occupancy whilst we were there. Nice room, some small plumbing issues though. I guess island amenities! Overall an excellent stay

When I arrived, the location they gave me was indeed good, the second row from the sea. Let's talk about the pros: 1. **Price**: It's the cheapest among all room types

The second time I booked a premier room for 2 nights in the Sai Kaew Resort. You get into the hotel and just feel well. It's modern, clean, quiet. Good breakfast (please offer bananas and nutella in future).

The whole travel to and from the island via the ferry and cars where your luggage is delivered to your room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent

Everything about this hotel is just great

Excellent! It's close to the beach and has a swimming pool for the kids. Getting there was easy, and the breakfast was varied and delicious

The service was excellent, and the accommodation was spotless. The natural scenery was breathtaking, offering fantastic photo opportunities. They also have a lovely swimming pool, and the food was delicious! 🤍

The hotel is clean, and the rooms are spacious. The pool is also large and well-maintained. It's not far from the pier and has good cafes and restaurants nearby.

The room and facilities were very clean and well-kept. , they also hosted an outdoor movie, which was such a nice touch. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again

From the moment I checked in, I felt very welcomed by the front desk team, especially Khun Janphen. She was attentive, detail-oriented, and always ready to help with anything I needed

The accommodation was peaceful, but the air conditioning in the room was very noisy because it's old. Everything else was great, and the service was good too

Pool Villas are laid out nicely and very comfortable and spacious You rarely get an island hotel with both sunset and sunrise views and this one has them. Perfect luxurious weekend getaway from Bangkok

The beach amenities (kayak, paddle board) are free and available all day. The staff, whilst clueless about dietary restrictions, was lovely and helpful

There was a lot of noise and typically they were working on the beach whilst we were there which is the best part of this hotel. The rooms were looking quite worn so I can understand the need for renovating

Additionally, the private pool in our villa was stagnant and lacking chlorine which made it a mosquito heaven. Now to finish on positive notes, the beach was beautiful and well maintained

This hotel isn't bad, it's stylishly designed, and the room is clean and tidy. The only downside is that there's no real beach directly attached to the hotel, and the access is from the sea side

We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables

Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you

We had a bad experience in Koh Samet before arriving at Samed Ville Resort, so this stay really changed our perspective. To be completely honest, this might be the best beach on the island

We were lucky with our chalet, located right on the cliff — probably one of the newest ones, as the stairs leading to it were still unfinished. As for the view, I’m honestly lost for words

Friends, hello everyone, my wife and I vacationed in mid-March, we really liked everything, friendly staff, nice beach, clean Coastline, few tourists, location of 10 9, there is nothing nearby, not even a store, you need to either go on bikes or, well, tuk-tuk, we really liked the sea! We were in the villa for 10 days, experienced different weather and time of day) a place of indescribable beauty!

A very good hotel in a stunningly beautiful location. Quiet beach, not many people, cozy houses, friendly staff. One of the nuances is that the cuisine is not the strongest when compared with other places on the island

The restaurant is quite overpriced for what it delivers. One downside was that the sunbeds were not included and had to be paid for separately

The place is maintained and cleaned by friendly staff. There is a well maintained swimming pool, however no sun shades or sun beds. The breakfast is minimal though with a small selection of food and mostly cold

But the establishment's main quality is - it's people! Polite, unassuming and, most of all, very effective in resolving issues much before they could develop into outright problems! Peter acts as a guardian angel, always ready to listen and always prepared to act

Love their service, so accommodating and nice! We had some issues with our luggage and transport, they helped us in any way possible. The room & view was so pretty too! Breakfast was okay for muslims

Outside the room, there's a chocolate drink shop where you can grab a drink to enjoy on the beach

Being close to Christmas, the evenings here left a wonderful impression on me! The room was quite spacious, with an IKEA-esque style. There's an outdoor balcony, perfect for reading in the morning

It was very clean, the room had amazing view of the sea

Baan is the closest of the four hotels to the pier (as shown in the last picture), which was a huge relief! It's just a 1-minute walk, saving us the hassle of getting a tuk-tuk

Second line from the beach, communal pool and dining areas are stuffed with people, light in some rooms is not good, they open onto internal passageways so people walking by regularly doesn’t make it very peaceful

Good to use as a beach base and exploring other places nearby

I love Pavillion resort at Ao Phai beach in Samed. Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice pool. The only downside was I found it difficult to get the shower at a good temperature, either too hot or too cold

We went on a private 3 hr snorkelling trip which was fantastic!! Went early in the morning and had snorkelling sites to ourselves. The water was crystal clear at Ao Prao and enjoyed the daily craft and beachside massage

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the water. Seafood and breakfast buffet were good

Wonderful stay at Ao Prao Resort A very cozy hotel with an excellent location right on a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal-clear water

If you want to walk to the nearest little cove it will take you about 20 min , otherwise you can catch a “ taxi” which will cost you 200 Baht- or 250 Baht to the center , where you will find just past the tourists doctors on the left the best Thai food ever

The room was quite spacious and newly renovated. The location was excellent, close to both the sea and the main street, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. You can even pay with Alipay at 7-Eleven

Really loved the outdoor environment. The restaurant and beach loungers were all free to enjoy

Tonsak Resort is fabulous! Clean and so beautiful. The staff are friendly, and the food and drinks are delicious. It's also super conveniently located, with many restaurants, massage parlours, and two 7-11s nearby

Facilities: The room is equipped with a refrigerator, TV, complimentary tea bags/instant coffee, free bottled water, and a large bathtub. There's also a sofa and a small table right outside the room

Be aware that children over 4 years old (or was it 3?) incur an extra charge of 700 THB per day for the room, plus 200 THB per day for the buffet breakfast

So, if you're traveling with kids, it's probably best to book a family room, as paying extra doesn't guarantee a room change – you'll likely stay in the same one

First time staying on Koh Samet! I chose this place because of its great beachfront location. When I arrived, stepping out of the room, I was right on a beautiful beach

I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. The resort is literally just steps away from the beach, with waves and sea breeze greeting you the moment you step outside

To be honest, I'd say it's pretty decent. The price is fair for the room, offering good value for money and no real complaints. The breakfast spread had a good variety. The hotel is located right by the beach

We stayed in a regular room this time, but next time I’m booking one of the beachfront rooms—imagine waking up, opening the door, and walking straight into the water for a morning swim

The room bad smell and small, the price is not value for service 3. The promotions that booked in trip and booked directly from hotel is not same promotion

The good thing in this hotel that is scenic view and near the beach only !!! If I go back, I will never stay this hotel again

I stayed in a standalone Thai-style bungalow, which was really nice, but the birds outside started chirping at 5 AM and it was a bit noisy. Every evening there were beach fire dance shows

The resort is on the big main beach where virtually 80% of all visitors stay. Beach is very nice but also very crowded

The hotel is lovely, and the traditional wooden bungalow is perfect for a solo traveler, what was not great is the constant music till 10 at night, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place to stay

Beach is pristine, white sand, with swimming areas and is well protected by the natural topology of the island. The usual beach activities available with trips offered to nearby islands

The taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip

The room is well-appointed, the hotel service is attentive, and the sea view from the hotel is unbeatable.

This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude

Everything was ok, except low amount of beach chairs and poor and repeatedly same breakfasts... and miriads of mosquitos, what is of course not hotel fail...

Had a very nice stay at Vongdeuan resort, there restaurant & fired show in evening along the beach

Facilities: The room was a bit small. Environment: The hotel's private beach was very clean, and the seawater was clear. There were fireworks displays every night. Service: The service was pretty good

Newly renovated rooms; comfortable & cleaned. Beautiful private peaceful beach. All the hotel staff that we had contacted did excellent jobs. Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening

Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time

A really great hotel! Just rent a scooter to get around. It has its own private beach and a good-sized area with a pier. Definitely worth a return visit.

Best location we saw after visiting at least 6 beaches. Hotel is not operating at capacity so it’s very quiet. I wish the beach bar was open but there are plenty just steps down the beach

Lovely quiet spot at the end of the beach, staff were helpful and friendly, the cottages were large, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, not masses of choice but enough.

The staff are superb as is the location. The renovation of the swimming pool is a welcome lift to the resort. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and can’t wait to go back

You can also walk through little paths to many other beaches. The staff really made the trip for us. So kind and friendly and helpful

The location is right opposite to beach with their restaurant in between. Rooms are like nice and clean but the orientation is like a dormitory with walls between the rooms and glass partition n door at room entrance

So if someone is looking for beach side location is great but for families looking for more amenities and common areas in the hotel then it does disappoint

The evening is pleasant with the extension of restaurant on beach like all other resorts do on the beach

Both the cupboards in the wardrobe were broken and some light switches were also broken (not safe). Get the rooms on the 4th floor as better breeze. Overall it's still a good deal for right on the beach

The hotel is at the BEST location im telling you. Just into the beach and the one and only walkingstreet (literally the only one on Koh Samed). Staff is nothing special, got 1 goodmorning on a 10 day visit

The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available

There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage

However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss

There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV. The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous

Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai. Toast cereal and tea & coffee

Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently

We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough

The Room: Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip

The room was clean, comfortable, and had that authentic island bungalow feel while still having modern amenities (the AC worked great!). Being just a few steps from the water made all the difference

The Location: Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area

The best beach to enjoy a fabulous sunset. Super friendly staff from receptionists till bartenders, restaurant staff and housekeeping. Very accommodating with special requests. Food is amazing and happy hours are great

It is much more quite than the other beaches we visited and the water is calm which together with the swimming pool makes it perfect for small kids

If you want a total relax from the norm, then this is the place. The room with the sea view was fantastic. Clean and tidy throughout the resort. We ate there a few times in the evening and everything was freshly made

Kerala is by far your best choice on Koh Samed if your budget allows it. Stunning location on a fine white sandy beach. Secluded in a little bay away from the touristy main *****

The 2 pools offered variety and activity for the kids which meant that some days we didn't need to leave the resort

The service is outstanding, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The food is very good, with plenty of choice, and the pools are great, especially for relaxing after a day exploring the island

This was our family's first ever Xmas abroad and Pandora made it the best Xmas ever! The rooms were spacious and perfect for our family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 kids aged 10, 8 and 4 and would be cleaned, with fresh towels provided, whenever we asked, daily if needed

They couldn't have been more generous with their help and guidance and even booked us a stunning restaurant and location for our family Xmas meal :-) The food at the resort itself was very excellent and varied, with both local and western options

I stay here every time I visit the island, and I would not choose anywhere else. The staff is extremely, extremely kind and welcoming — there is absolutely nothing to complain about

Everything is great, the hotel courtyard is very cozy. The breakfasts are delicious, including pancakes. Each room has its own terrace, which is cozy and pleasant. Daily cleaning, and beach towels are provided.

The hotel's main advantage is its location; everything is close by: shops, cafes, the beach. The hotel staff is very pleasant, everything feels homely, very friendly, we really liked it.

Super rooms, excellent location. The beach is nearby but crowded. If you want some solitude, rent a motorbike. The rooms are clean, and the bedding is clean

The grounds are super well-maintained; my daughter ran off to play there and wouldn't come back to the room. The area is enclosed and safe. There are many cafes, shops, 7/11s, etc

I stayed four nights in a Deluxe Bungalow. The cabin is spacious and comfortable. The only downside is the bathroom door, which is a bit awkward (it needs a door stopper)

Excellent place! The hostess is very hospitable. They also have bike rentals 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you 🫶🏼 We will definitely come back again!
