Charged for coffee on a towel. Seriously.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels—some good, some bad—but this one wins the award for “Most Ridiculous Charge.” I accidentally spilled a bit of coffee on a towel, and they had the nerve to charge me for it. Not bleach it. Not wash it. Just straight-up CHARGED ME.

Apparently, towels are now sacred relics that cannot be touched by earthly liquids. I asked if they were made of gold-threaded Egyptian cotton—nope, just your standard white hotel towel. You’d think they were prepping it for a museum exhibit with how seriously they took it.

The room was fine, nothing special. But the real experience begins when you check out and get hit with surprise fees. Want to feel like you’re in a hotel version of a scam? This is the place for you.

Note to management: Towels are meant to get dirty. That’s kind of their job.

Would not return. Would not recommend. Bring your own towels… and maybe a lawyer. They take ฿500 in cash before you check in which I thought was kind of suspicious and then when you check out, they show you this list and say you owe them money

We had a good, peaceful stay at New Suanmali. We were very happy to stay walking distance to so many attractions and great restaurants. A long walk to some stuff but we were up for it! The staff were helpful and kind although we didn't interact a whole lot. We were very happy to use the onsite laundry for a small fee. The area is quiet and residential but next to a busy road. Convenient 7-11 right across the street. 24h concierge. There were some bugs, but we weren't really bothered by the few we saw and got rid of some ourselves, and it didn't affect our stay at all. I'd say cleanliness is good for an older-feeling building like this. We stayed in a king bed room and had great sleeps. Wifi was in and out which was frustrating since one of us was actively working, though we didn't ask if there was any fix or alternative, we just muscled through. We were happy with what we got for the price. Thanks for a nice stay!

Excellent
Hotel was brilliant for the price. It was very clean with air con working. Staff were very friendly and also allowed us to store bags after checking out. Was very central!

A good place to spent the night for business trip and family trip. The inside is well decorated. The room is clean and nice. Free breakfast included which you can chose to eat porridge or American breakfast. The service is very good. Plenty of parking space in the hotel area.

Decent hotel with spacious room, at very reasonable price. The hotel is very old but very well maintained and recently renovated. Its little difficult to locate the hotel at first as it is tugged away from the main road, and the access to the hotel is through a passage. Free parking is available at the site and requires no reservation. There is no breakfast included with the room. The twin bed rooms have quite large two single beds but the blankets were very small.

There are not many restaurants in the surrounding area, but u could use seven eleven store in case you want to grab something to eat.

Overall its a good hotel for the price offered and if you are not too particular about fancy rooms and the surrounding conveniences.
