The reception staff were lovely and gave great advice. When I checked in, they asked for a 1000 baht deposit. I showed them my booking from Trip, which stated no deposit was required, and they were fine with it, so I didn't have to pay. I really like the vintage Lanna style of the place, and it's conveniently located near Thapae Road. However, I do have a complaint about the cleanliness. Please improve it, because there was a thick layer of dust under the bed, as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The drain in the bathroom had a lot of hair in it, and I hadn't even washed my hair that day. The housekeepers aren't doing a good job with cleaning, which is a shame. I really like the hotel and the staff at the front desk, but the cleanliness is an issue. If it's not improved, I'll have to choose another place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is very well located and relatively clean, despite some very unpleasant sewage smells in the bathroom, which I don't think is the hotel's fault.
However, one negative point really bothered us during our stay: the hotel's restaurant played very loud music late into the night, which was unpleasant. Our nights were also often cut short by tourists yelling in the hotel, and the front desk staff didn't do anything about it.
A blackout curtain would also be appreciated by future guests, as the hallway lights stay on.

Very reasonably priced and close to everything. The old style decor is charming. Would book again!

Wonderful Hotel, Convenient Location.
Wooden, cozy room with a comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. A nice bonus — there's a café downstairs, and guests have access to free coffee.
A small downside: the room did not have a chair and a table, as shown in the photos. Instead, there was a shelf and small glass bedside tables.

The location is fantastic! You can easily walk to Thapae Road and Wat Upakut. It's just a short stroll to Wat Upakut in the morning. The only downside is that there's no dedicated parking; you have to park on the street, but the hotel staff will arrange a spot for you.

I stayed at Rompo Boutique for 4 days during my trip to Chiang Mai. The room was available at a very good price, so I had a pleasant and affordable stay. Although the facilities were a bit old and the room size was a little small, the service was excellent thanks to the incredibly kind staff at the front desk, and there was even someone who spoke Korean exceptionally well. I had a great time and returned home safely~

Great location, beautiful architect, clean and cozy room. The only downside is it is not soundproof.

It's an old-style traditional house, so you might hear creaking floorboards when guests walk upstairs. The water pressure is good though.
