Other than the fact that they are still using room keys and thus limit you to one key per room and not using the key card technology, the hotel is pretty good and the location is excellent. The rooms are pretty big and so are the washrooms.

The room was very spacious and generally clean. Soundproofing was just okay, as I could hear airport noises. There were also small bars nearby, so I could hear singing. If you're particular about sound insulation, this might not be the best choice. There were plenty of dining options downstairs and no shortage of convenience stores. Overall, it offered great value for money.

Second time I have stay at Dusit. Hotel is always very clean and comfortable. Rooms are large , ensuite is very nice. Locations is perfect . Absolutely loved the room and pool and option to get drinks at pool, room was so clean and spacious, staff were incredibly helpful and the location was only 2 mins from basic shops and laundry and 6min walk from big shopping centre. Bar a few doors down although expensive is lively and fun! Only one thing, the planes were a little loud but didn't bother us much.

Everything was great until my last morning when someone tried to open my room without warning at 7am. There has been warning of theft from some hotels in Thailand. Reported it to the front desk counter and did not get a polite reaction and the lady keeps on denying that the staff will never do that.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near Chiang Mai's Old City Chinatown. You can walk to all the Old City attractions from here.
