We really loved staying here. The vibe of this hostel is something special, relaxed, friendly and easy.
The owner is genuinely kind and welcoming, and it shows in the whole atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable, and it was easy to meet other travellers.
We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Chiang Mai. 💛
Amazing hostel with amazing staff. Beds were comfy and rooms and bathrooms were always clean. Hot shower, free water and a fridge to use!! Loved our stay here, best one in Thailand. Will be back!
This is the place to go.
Cheap food market and 7-11 just 8 minutes walk, Saturday street market just next to it, weed shops close.
The staff extremely friendly, fun and helpful. Nothing’s ever a problem to do if you ask them.
The rooms are super clean, good smelling, beds comfy, rooms ACed, bathrooms beautiful and clean.
All the guests were also of the good sort - well mannered, friendly and quiet...
A lovely hostel with quiet and relaxed vibes. I thought the location was great, there is a food market just a couple blocks away, perfect for grabbing dinner nearby. The beds were comfy, the AC worked well, WiFi was reliable, and everything was very clean, probably the cleanest hostel I have stayed at. The owner is also really kind and always willing to help with questions or recommendations. I will...
I had a wonderful experience staying at 84 Gallery Hostel. The place itself is cozy, clean, and beautifully designed with an artistic vibe that makes it feel unique and welcoming. The dorms and common areas are well-maintained, and the location is perfect for exploring the area.
What truly made the stay special was the hospitality of the owner. From the moment I arrived, he was warm, friendly, and...
This place is awesome! Love the toilet tissues. Free matcha and cookies! The staff are the best. Highly recommend.

I loved my time at Sylvis. It definitely is a party hostel but its a friendly one too. Sylvis is partnered with other hostels in the area and make each night one to remember - they even have their own nightclub! The staff are lovely and organise daily trips. If you want to go to a waterfall in the rainforest or an elephant sanctuary, they have it all. The rooms were clean and a good size. They will...
I had such a great time staying here. Staff were super friendly and welcoming!
We loved this place. The vibe, setting, staff, cleanliness, bedrooms, everything was great! The downstairs bar area is lovely and really sociable. The owner and staff are very sociable and friendly, they are so helpful and accommodating. There is water available at all times. The bathrooms are huge and well equipped. They’re always spotless. The bedrooms are also always spotless (cleaned every day...
The best, cleanest and most happening hostel in Chiang Mai. I stayed in a private room which was right outside the common area. The staff is so so welcoming (special mention to Opal) ❤️ The hostel is very close to night markets and local attractions. Plus, they have world class bartenders and parties EVERY DAY!
First hostel stay and honestly can’t fault it! Such lovely owners and great facilities as well as a really private bunk. Stayed in a private room one night and a dorm the rest

Good clean Hostel, staff are very nice and always there to help! Will definitely stay here again if I’m back in Chiang Mai😀
Eazy to checkin ourself
Clean in the room
And the toilet also clean
Facilities: Excellent.
Hygiene: Spotless.
Ambiance: Upscale.
Service: Attentive.
The location is fantastic, very close to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center and Chiang Mai University, right on Nimmanhaemin Road. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and strolling around. There's a 7-Eleven about 200 meters away. Both owners are very handsome and welcoming.
The room - i am staying at the family room with 2 double bed - room is surprising big with a large private bathroom. Double deck bed with one double bed on top and one at bottom (i love the bottom bed because closer to the floor. Room comes with international plugs and 4 bottles of water (some hotels even 5 star ones do not provide this anymore, maybe a glass bottle that you have to refill somewhere...
Highly recommended! The housekeeper was lovely, and even though it's a capsule hotel, it felt very private. The bathrooms were clean too. The food around the area was incredibly delicious! I'll definitely be back.
I really liked my stay at Psych hostel! Everything is new and gets cleaned multiple times a day. Sanitary is above average compared to most hostels. Furthermore, the lobby looks really cool where there’s always some relaxing music playing, and the owner is always really friendly. Highly recommend!

The location is great and very convenient, close to plenty of food options. It's near a 7-Eleven and Lotus. The room is clean and has a private bathroom and toilet
Fantastic! It has a fridge and a microwave, and the common areas are also very clean. The only minor issue is that sometimes the sanitary bins in the women's restroom are a bit small, and some paper ends up outside. Other than that, everything's perfect! I'd definitely stay here again.
The stuff are very friendly and helpful.
The location of this hostel was perfect. I could go to the old town by foot everyday and there is a small nightmarket with delicious streetfood nearby. The staff were nice. The bathroom and toilet seem not be cleaned everyday but other than that it was quite clean.
Professionally run, clean, comfortable in a great location. Good for longer stay. Beds are huge and you feel you have private space. Only minus - metal doors inside dorm making incredibly big bangs when being opened and closed by fist timer guests. Please put something between to make them stop hitting metal on metal
Very convenient in communication ther is Free Wifi in all area.

Accommodation near restaurants and tourist attractions. Good service from staff. Quiet atmosphere. Very cheap price.
value for money for short stay travelers. AC in the guest room works as normally. bed with simple breakfast, like watermelon, toast and hot coffee. Hot breakfast with fee ( less than 100 Thai baht ). Cons, fan in the shower room should be clean.
Perfect place. So quiet. With breakfast. I really was happy to stay here
Stayed here for three weeks and it was perfect. Everything was super clean and comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing and sweet!!
I loved this place and all the people who work there so, so much! They were kind and welcoming as soon as I got there. They were also super helpful with recommendations as well as helping me book things like cooking classes and bus rides. I was really sad when it was time to go. It’s also in a great location. Our stay at Thai Thai hostel was great. Max at reception was very friendly, helpful and a funny guy to chat with. Our room was nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space for our luggage, the breakfast was a simple but good way to start the day, and the atmosphere was usually pretty chill. This hostel was good, bed is comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is helpful however the toilet is a little bit dirty the door is too difficult to close and its not comfortable for woman but for men maybe it’s okay. The shower heater seems not working too or maybe the heat just a little bit cold.
One more thing is the stairs, no elevator if you have a luggage to bring with you just take...
Good location

Good place near ท่าแพ gate มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบ มีพื้นที่ส่วนกลางให้นั่ง
Great location, clean comfortable, good basic breakfast with vegetables - not usual in hostels. I recommend
It’s a good and quiet place. But the entrance is not easy to find. You should arrive early so that you can find it with the help of the staff from reception. So far I like it and would recommend this place to everyone

Chiang Mai City, 65/64 Moo 10 Soi Wat Umong, Suthep Road (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Peaceful, clean, and comfortable stay. I’ve stayed here multiple times in both female dorm and private rooms. The calm atmosphere, spacious areas, simple breakfast, and occasional peacock sightings make it a great place to relax—highly recommended.
I chose this location as it is very near Wat Umong, and I prefer walking over any other mode of transport. Unfortunately the streets are so narrow around here, especially without sidewalk, so no joy in walking. If you are comfortable with using Grab, taxis or have your own wheels, not a concern.
Property is lovely, shaded, quiet. Airplanes are loud, but that's just about anywhere this side of town...
The place is quiet, clean, and has a shady atmosphere. The new building looks charming. The bed is wide and the air conditioning is cool. Breakfast is bread and bananas.
I thought it was a meditation hotel, but after checking in, I found out that meditation isn't offered every day.
The surrounding natural environment is good and very quiet, making it an ideal place for a holiday and rest.
The accommodation is natural and nice. The bed is very soft. The receptionist is friendly. At first, when looking at the outside, I thought it was a house, but the inside is very nice. I am impressed and sleep well.

Great place if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep and put your stuff. It's not super fancy and maybe not the most modern place you could stay. The lighting/plumbing needs some work but it is good for the money. They give you free coffee and tea in the morning. It's right outside of the main city center so close to the action but not too close. Can be a bit loud because it is close to some bars...
Cheap and close to everything. If you are not into the night life, lady boys, and "massage parlors" - then not the part of town for you. But if you like those things or can get past them, coolio.
I didn't actually go here. I turned up at the wrong hotel and the place was fully booked 😑
The staff could have turned me away but instead they asked around the local area to see if anything else was available. I then decided to go to the actul hotel I had booked and she said she could call a taxi for me.
Seemed like a decent place from what I could see outside as well.
I liked it as a no frills guesthouse for 350 baht a night for a fan room. all I wanted was a place to stash my stuff and sleep and that's what I got. I stayed almost two weeks.
The owner was very cool, speaks English and was really laid back and easygoing.
Sometimes I paid a few days in advance, sometimes day to day but everyone of staff there was polite and cool and nobody messed with me and it...

Compared to the other places, this place is offering good quality for its price. We took the private room and it was clean and cozy with all necessary things (like shampoo, soap, water)
People are very nice and helpful and the location is good. We enjoyed our stay.
The hostel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and looked like it had been redone recently. The A.C. ran even when you took the key out so the room was comfortable when you got back after a long day. A 10 minute walk from the night bazaar
New hotel, clean and quiet. Staff is helpful & friendly but their English is not good. Just 500m to Night Bazzar Market.
Extremely clean and maintained to a high standard. The staff were really helpful and friendly, spoke very little English. This isn't a criticism just something to be aware of. Google Translate conversations were an interesting experience!
I loved this place because is not that far from the downtown and its easy to find. Its staff is always try to help you. Plus I am a coffee person and they give free coffee to their guest. The wifi is quickly and its facilities are clean always . It looks so new and the price its low for the service that they offer.
I love this place because is cheap for the service and comfort provided by the staff and facilities. It's well located and looks so clean and new. It's way better than other hostel that I have stayed in and the staff is always willing to help you.

Very good, the most affordable in this area, suitable for long-term living, very close to the bustling area, there is a bar diagonally opposite, and the night market is only a few minutes' walk away.
First of all, the location of this hotel is close to the middle of the road. If you are particular about the quality of sleep, don't book it, otherwise it will be too noisy. There will be the sound of a motorcycle from time to time, especially the shaking at one or two o'clock in the morning.

Cons: The staircase layout is very inconvenient for those with physical disabilities, the bathroom gets dirty in the evenings, and the shower lacks a shelf, the room is very cold, and guests and staff open the window at night, allowing mosquitoes and street noise in. Spacious room. Friendly staff from the kitchen to the reception. Healthy breakfast everyday. Neighbor is a good restaurant that is very popular to both locals and foreigners. Most guests are foreigners. Ambience is quiet despite that it is always full.

It's close to the night bazaar, there is a rooftop and a small co-working space. Place is clean, calm and aesthetically pleasing.
The first floor is a bar, and the owner is Japanese. It's a safe place for first-time visitors to Chiang Mai. There's a washing machine and a spacious balcony where you can hang your clothes outside and relax. I was happy to find MUJI lotion in the amenities. However, the hot water in the shower isn't that great.

Best budget friendly hostel 🫰
Pros: The lady owner is so lovely and friendly, they also have tours for a reasonable price. Cheap price and great location. They also have an in house laundromat and free drinking water.
Cons: hygiene could be better, not enough bathrooms (only one bathroom for each floor which has 16~ people per floor), on a busy street so traffic noise is constant.
Not bad for the price, but lots of room for improvement. Some garbage bins would encourage people to keep the place tidy and it would be nice to be able to shower behind a locked door instead of a shower curtain. Other than that, reasonable for what you pay for it. Quiet, cleanish, great for backpackers on a budget.
I stayed in this hostel for a week. This was the cheapest one I found located within the old city. Though located in the old town, the soi is very quiet. We've just been to restaurant on ground floor here and haven't rented a room. Food and service were fantastic. Slightly out of the way location-wise but extremely good value for a comfortable stay. One of the nicer sleeps I’ve had in weeks and a private room was very cheap for a one-night stay. Highly recommend if you’re looking to get away from social hostels for a night
Locations of it out the way, but the vibes and the food are very good. And it's not that far, get a grab, or if you have a scooter, you can make your own way. I wanted something relaxed, and this is what I found so it's perfect.
A little compact but almost perfect hostel. Sleeping experience is good, a/c, curtains, lockers, shower, toilet, free coffee/water all top notch. The lady in charge Ohm is sweet and very helpful. It's a shame there is no guest discount on the ground floor restaurant/ coffee shop as it's great but expensive for a budget traveller. Highly recommended overall.
