Sleepbox Chiangmai Hotel in Chiang Mai City

Design:
The design from the outside looked nice and had a nice atmosphere, however...

Space:
Booked a two single beds room - it really felt like living in a box. There was an A/C, however, there are no windows which can open. I paid around Baht 850 / night, therefore I was really expecting a better room for that price in Chiang Mai. A big room with a King size bed in a Guest House located at the Old City (more central), costed Baht 350 / night.

Cleanliness:
The room had a bad smell, probably from mold in the bathroom. Water leaked from the shower; it seemed that extractors have never been cleaned, adding to the pungent smell. Rooms are not cleaned every day unless you specifically ask for it! And when we did, at times, they just changed the towels.

Communication:
The receptionists can hardly speak any other language than Thai. Via email I have been informed that airport transfer was free of charge. Pick up was free, however, when I asked for a return trip, I was asked to wait. The receptionist had called somebody else, with whom I spoke and explained the matter. I was asked to pass the phone back to the reception and was left waiting at the receptionist. After some time, I asked what's going on and they told me that they can book a taxi for me! :/

Key Deposit:
They keep Baht 300 for the key as a deposit. Returned the key in the morning and left my luggages at the reception. When I returned in the afternoon, I remembered that my deposit has not been returned. Should I have forgotten to ask for it, I would have remained without my deposit!

Staff aren't friendly, and the first day we arrived, they didn't even care about the customers much but always played and look at the phone. Shower door broken, and smell in the room.
