Hotel Tropicana Pattaya in Pattaya

Very disappointed no chance of getting any sleep the noise from the main strip is ridiculous may as well have put a bed in the middle of a night club in full swing! Booked a superior king room and they said they up graded me! If this room i have is a up grade i dread to think what state the king superior was like! Air con unable to adjust stuck on 26 needs a lick of paint as i said if you are a zombie and dont need to sleep this is the hotel for you im struggling to give it even 1 star! Thank heavens its only one night🙏

This is listed as 4 stars, but it's not. The rooms are nice, and the grounds are nice, but that's it.

It rained when I was there and there was no shelter from the rain when walking to my unit that was on the ground floor by the pool. I got soaked. They never offerd an unbrella or anything.

I told them that I couldn't adjust the A/C that is was stuck on 20 degrees C. The reponse was "yes some of the rooms A/C are broken." No offer to send a person up to fix it.

There is no safe in the room you must take it to reception and they lock it up in a safety deposit box and if you lose the key it is 100USD. Four star hotel without a safe in the room? Also there isn't the usual toothbrush and toothpaste offered you have to buy them.

I booked this on Agoda and the picture showed a room by the pool with twin beds. When I got there they said the only room they had was on the 4th floor, and they don't have an elevator. Ok I can walk 4 floors no problem,( 4 star hotel with no elevator) but I wanted to be by the pool. So they gave me the exact same room as the picture on Agoda, but with one large bed and they charged me an extra 600 baht.

I see why tourism is down in Thailand.

I would recommend you stay elsewhere.

Slept here 8 nights, i never go back again. We started with a room we did not book. Room 355 Soundproof and balcony, booth was not i play. We ask big bed, they moved 2 single beds next to each other. The Windows were loose inside the frame so could hear everything outside.
After 2 night We changed room. We had to pay 500bath per night so 3000 total and we got the room we originaly booked by agoda. But also problems. Room 211. The balcony door didnt close 100% so we could here every thing outside again...and my wife could not unlock it normal. The elektricity went off and on every 5 minutes. So watching tv was impossible. 1 night later we change room again.. room 205. 4 nights lefts to go. To be honnest this room was okay. If you look over the fact that all rooms have black mold and stains on matrasses. The only problem we had was that the airco did not go lower and stayed on 25 26 27 degrees. Since this was the 3 room in a stay of 8 night we kind off gave up on and accepted that this was the best they had to offer in this outdated hotel. the best part from the hotel is the lobby.

It is located on the beach road. Old property and has ample open car parking. There is no elevator in this hotel, so be prepared to carry luggage on stairs. Breakfast is mediocre. Rooms are Ok for the budget price. Please carry your own toiletries. Staff are not helpful and rude. Cleanliness can be improved.
