If I could give a rating of less that a star I would!!
First things first this place is a over priced hostel and not a hotel. The high ratings posted I think are false claims. Beds were rubbish, aircon has no remote, no fridge, unfinished old rooms that are very basic, electrical hazards with lighting, a long way from haad rin beach. I would say this is by far the worst hotel I've ever experienced.

The price was 800 but per night without any discounts possible. Air conditioning was very noisy. Toilet was broken. There are a lot of animal on hotel territory including big about 500 mm gekko.
A beautiful place, quiet and calm. Staff are courteous, good breakfast, excellent cleanliness

Do yourself a favor and skip this place! In reality the place looks different and they are offering rooms that doesn't exist. Super rude staff.

Thaniza is a 10 minute walk from “Haad Rin Beach” and a 15 minute scooter ride to “Thong Sala”. The sea views are excellent and it’s worth getting a room with a sea view. The owners of the property are so sweet! Each day when you venture out they clean the room, replace your towels, provide toilet paper and water bottles for free of charge. The room is very very clean and spacious! The stairs leading to the rooms are a bit steep but not impossible and not worth complaining over when you see the ocean! There is a little private beach area where you can relax and they also provide breakfast and dinner if needed - I have looked at the prices around Koh Phanang and this is a deal! Stellar AC, hot showers with great water pressure, and the bed was the comfiest I ever experienced in Thailand hostels.
