Best hotel so far after 2 months in Thailand, right on the beach, staff was excellent in arranging a day trip via long boat. The food was excellent, breakfast and dinner.

Staff were so caring and thoughtful and very helpful. I stayed in room 3 with sea view and balcony. Hot tub was decorated with flowers for our anniversary at a cost mind of 500tb

I definitely recommend everyone enjoy their time at this hotel. Upon arrival, we received gifts. There was a small private event at the pool with music and foam, and closer to evening, a BBQ by the sea

We were welcomed on arrival with refreshing welcome drinks and big smiles, which immediately set the tone. A special mention to Aung, Moe, Yaya and Tata, who were all fantastic and made a real difference during my stay

We stayed at Explorar 5 nights and had the absolute best time!! The stay was so relaxing and quiet and the entire venue just makes you want to lay back and rest. The team was so amazing and took care of our every need

I'd say it's incredible: waking up and the first thing you see, lying right in your Dio bed, is a view of the sea and mountains. :)) The refrigerator freezes well; the ice never melted

The staff is polite and will help you with everything. You have to walk uphill, which wasn't really a problem for us, as it's really short. The outlets don't work very well; the electrical system needs to be checked

Wonderful place on a great location. The food is delicious. The view from our cabin absolutely marvelous with a big balcony. two villages nearby with fantastic beaches. The lighthouse was a great party! Loved it!

Of course, the tides are very strong, but when the water is high, it's an excellent and clean beach. There's a pontoon on the beach; if you go there in the evening, you'll see glowing plankton; it's very beautiful

The bathroom has excellent water pressure and temperature. The room also has a bed and a sofa. There's plenty of storage space. The grounds are spacious, and there's a pool. There are plenty of sun loungers

The downsides are minor, but they're more than offset by the spaciousness of the room and its view. The only thing is that it might be a bit of a challenge with a stroller and children, going up the hill

Super helpful, honest and family run. Stayed here 3 nights and Maish and his daughter were still superhelpful even a week after I left. Particularly with ferry and taxi boookings, pool and luggage, etc. Comfy rooms too

Completely modernized!!!!! Modern, extra-wide beds for the whole family (3 people), a lovely, spacious shower, and a large balcony with a view of large palm trees

As for the beach, I caught it at the tale end of the monsoon, so was mostly windy with big waves (and a lot of washed up plastic in the mornings) however I am sure as the monsoon wanes the beach and sea will be as beautiful as always, if you want peaceful solitude as your paradise this is the place!

Food still as fantastic as always and always enjoyed a Singapore sling in the evenings! Yes, as with most of Asia, Bottle beach is not immune from the huge plastics problem in Asia, but staff and tourists work hard each morning to clear the plastic (always worse with stormier weather)

Beautifully relaxing place to stay with hiking available to Chalaklum (90-120 mins) and about 60 mins to the viewpoint. Steep dirt track down the mountain to the beach, not recommended with scooter but it is possible

Could not resist visiting the wonderful bottle beach again this winter, spent 2 weeks on Koh Phangan mostly at Smile. The rooms, although basic are good value for money, love the hammocks

As always with Bottle Beach access is a problem, there is the 40 min hike down the dirt track or the 2 hour hike to the beautiful fishing village of Chalaklum

On this occasion I stayed in a one story bungalow (M2) just away from the beach, loved watching the monkeys play in the morning

The rooms and location are just wow, worth every dollar. Waking up in the morning and going out to the balcony with coffee to a pastoral view 12 meters from the sea is a heavenly experience.

We got one of the bungalows just behind the beachfront ones so were lucky enough to have a beautiful partial sea view

Room was great had lots of amenities (much better equipped than many we've stayed in!): - Bed side tables - Large mosquito net - Desk and chair - Place to hang clothes - Wall lamps - Comfortable bed and pillows Pool was great to do lengths in HOWEVER around 9

30am every morning they would start to burn a big pile of plastic and other things right next to it which made it impossible to swim without being surrounded by a cloud of toxic smoke

Great bungalow on a beautiful beach A great place on the beach. I had a basic bungalow that was clean & had everything. The key thing you pay for is location - an amazing beach.

The hammocks and chairs on the terrace were great and the location is within (very close) walking distance to 7-eleven and lots of restaurants and cafes

There's also a nice rooftop area with even better views. A construction site is nearby, and there's a sign with apologies for the inconveniences caused by it in the hotel, but honestly I haven't heard any noise from it

A nice location, clean and spacious room, great view. The part of the Chaloklum beach the hotel has access to is not the best, but it's easy to walk to Malibu or the one to the right from the pier

The first is that the location, Chaloklum beach, is very remote and will be difficult to get to from Thong Sala pier unless you are traveling with a large group

It’s a good resort right on the beach with lovely sea views and it would be perfect for younger people! It’s quite hilly and somewhat challenging at time. Room and bathroom adequate and the balcony/ terrace fantastic

Okay ill start with the positives, we upgraded to a sea and pool beach house which was amazing, the view was beautiful and people saying you can't swim in the sea is not true

There are planned group events that are not available to people just on holiday and you will notice and hear lots of 'chats and hugs' and discussions between them about their journeys at meal times so we ate else where and went to the bars for drinks in the evenings as no alcohol is allowed on site

Com as a natural resort, it is in fact an addiction rehab and goes under the name holina rehabilitation centre on google so I can only assume they let remaining rooms to tourists once they have their allocated rooms to patients

Its a beautiful place and a really good location but be aware that you are amongst vulnerable people and this is very apparent when hearing conversations and in areas like dining and pool areas when they are present

We payed almost 300$ for 4 nights but got angry comments about us cooling down our room for 1h with AC (which we paid for) food was mid and the lady at the reception couldn't smile at all

I like the owner and the staff. It smelled a little moldy but leaving the pillows outside of the room and opening a window and turning on the fan fixed it. I much prefer this to a resort with central air that’s moldy

Warning ⚠️ if you have bad ankles, bad hips, or mobility issues, this place is not for you. There are a lot of climbing steep and uneven paths and sometimes under boulders just to get to your room

At check out they tried to charge us 800b for the key for some reason which I denied paying for. Would come back for the view and the nice bungalow but not for their customer service

But I do have to say the views are breathtaking!!! This place is great to get off grid because there is no wifi (only at reception/restaurant) and no tv just you and nature

The bathroom could use a drying rack, a taller door, and ventilation. The pillows were too hard also. I don’t mind a firm bed but the pillows shouldn’t also be that firm

From oatmilk cappuccino over fresh mixed smoothies to traditional Thai dishes - you get here fresh and delicious meals. The staff was always very friendly and ready to help

The accommodation inherits a big variety of green plants, three wonderful cats and has direct beach access with a café/bar/restaurant on the venue

My room was spacious, spotless clean and I got two bottles of water every morning in front of my door. I can highly recommend this place

The road to go this place is just super amazing you have sea view all way long, you can stop on fews hidden beachs, the hotel is super nice view is crazy, you can enjoy the pool with Balinese stone, and the paddle on the roof top

At 10:30 AM (half an hour before check-out time), I came back to my room and found that the hotel staff had already taken my belongings out of the room and packed them without my knowledge

Prices are very reasonable for the location. The atmosphere is quiet and restful — ideal for relaxing. About a 30–35 minute scooter ride to Haad Rin and 18 minutes by taxi to the pier

We booked a villa with a sea view and the view was amazing. The room itself was nice and homely, bed a little on the hard side however. The bathroom also didn't have a door, just a big open wall

I really liked this hotel - it was very reasonably priced, with good wifi too. It was near enough to the beach and just a short walk from local amenities. I really liked the pool too, which had fantastic views

There's a lot of bugs and mosquitoes too as it is built in between trees. The staff were all really nice, not too good in speaking english however, except for the manager, but it wasn't a problem for us

We had a huge TV that offered netflix and youtube, which we used when it rained outside. Our AC didn't work at first, took technicians about hour or so to fix, making a little difference

The rooms are basic, wood on concrete, mostly fan, with hammock facing the incredible sea view. Staff are all wonderful people

The location is paradise, and kept clean. You can hike to Bottle Beach, or easier to come by boat, and some 4x4s also arrive. Many clientele are day trippers, at night the beach is quiet with small groups

Bottle Beach 2 resort is a beautiful place run by beautiful people. Khun Nok and Khun Gie built it, starting with a few wooden huts many years ago. Everything they have created is a labour of love

The whole place is built into the small mountain with so much love and attention to detail. There is even a small mini shop with drinks available. Whenever you have a question, they help you immediately

If you're someone who can sit on a balcony and stare at the sea for hours, you'll get that here. The problem is you'll have to stare at it from a very tired room

I cannot express how amazing this hotel is! I went as a solo traveler for Christmas and the staff, service and room was outstanding! It was my birthday and they decorated the room with balloons and made it super special! The food is great and I had Christmas Eve dinner on the beach! The sea is stunning and there are lots of fun places for the kids to play including the playground and rocks, which they enjoyed climbing many times

Thaniza is a 10 minute walk from “Haad Rin Beach” and a 15 minute scooter ride to “Thong Sala”. The sea views are excellent and it’s worth getting a room with a sea view

❗❗❗ A lot of people who booked here, like me, initially didn't research about the location, hence the bad reviews. *If you are an experienced driver and not scared with a dangerous road, yes you may bring your motorcycle

One big thing to keep in mind is it’s only accessible by a boat or by a taxi service that has 4x4 capability! It can be costly if you plan on making trips to town everyday

And you should be really experienced in driving to get to the place. Or you can ask the staff to organize a taxi for you, which is not free All in all, the place is beautiful by and should be on your list to visit

The place is good if you seek solitude and calmness. Yet, the location is quite isolated and not the best one if you intend to explore the island. It’s difficult to use a bike to get to the location

I stayed for two nights and I was expecting something worse since the rate was low (3. 5) but actually the room was super nice, they give us 3 waters for free and few desserts and coffee

We did early check in for free and the personal was good vibes. The only thing I can criticize is that at night there was a little bit of noise but is also normal being in Haad Rin zone

Most rooms have a hammock you can lay in right on your front entrance to the room. The negatives: no hand soap available in room to wash hands. Shower was not great, the pressure was weak

The room is clean, the beds are very comfortable (actually the most comfortable beds we have had in Thailand so far). The room comes with AC that works well, a TV and a mini fridge

This guest house was a nice get away from the craziness of Haad Rin. It has a private pool which rarely gets used and has a stunning view of the ocean complete with beach chairs

Haad Rin beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. The owner of this guest house is a friendly man who sits at the mini mart all day and greets you as you pass by
