Resort was beautiful and clean. Perfect for families and in a great location. This was our favorite stay.

The hotel was really nice and the room as well. The price was a bit high but for this really excellent rooms. The service was not what I have expected for this kind of hotel. There is definitely a way to improve.

Not sure about the standard in Haad Rin, but compared to other hotels in Phangan/Samui, this is not a 4-stars experience at all (especially not for the price required). Rooms are small and too close to each other

They were attentive, pleasant, and always made sure we had everything we needed to start our mornings perfectly. Overall, the hotel staff truly elevated our stay, and we are grateful for their warm and attentive service

Best hotel so far after 2 months in Thailand, right on the beach, staff was excellent in arranging a day trip via long boat. The food was excellent, breakfast and dinner.

We were welcomed on arrival with refreshing welcome drinks and big smiles, which immediately set the tone. A special mention to Aung, Moe, Yaya and Tata, who were all fantastic and made a real difference during my stay

I stayed at Explorar from 19th to 21st December 2025 in a pool view room, and the experience was truly wonderful. The room itself was amazing, and the view from the room was absolutely extraordinary

The bathroom has excellent water pressure and temperature. The room also has a bed and a sofa. There's plenty of storage space. The grounds are spacious, and there's a pool. There are plenty of sun loungers

Wonderful place on a great location. The food is delicious. The view from our cabin absolutely marvelous with a big balcony. two villages nearby with fantastic beaches. The lighthouse was a great party! Loved it!

We stayed in a room with a panoramic view for 4 days. The views make up for some of the room's shortcomings, which I'll describe below. I'll show you the view in the photo; it's absolutely beautiful

Of course, the tides are very strong, but when the water is high, it's an excellent and clean beach. There's a pontoon on the beach; if you go there in the evening, you'll see glowing plankton; it's very beautiful

The downsides are minor, but they're more than offset by the spaciousness of the room and its view. The only thing is that it might be a bit of a challenge with a stroller and children, going up the hill

Super helpful, honest and family run. Stayed here 3 nights and Maish and his daughter were still superhelpful even a week after I left. Particularly with ferry and taxi boookings, pool and luggage, etc. Comfy rooms too

Beautiful rooms, a classy pool, and a very friendly reception. Free WiFi! 10 minutes to the beautiful beach, right on the doorstep is the beach with boats, which isn't suitable for swimming

I am very glad that I chose this place for my vacation in Phangan. It is a quiet and very green complex. I could listen to the sounds of nature and walk a few minutes to reach the shops, cafes, and the beach

Towels are big and special towels provided for those who attend parties and need to wash off paint. Little kitchen area and kettle and large fridge with bottles water. Decent size pool and sun loungers

The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful, after a week in Koh tao we came back to Koh pangan and of course we came back here. The pool is amazing, there's a cute gym and the rooms are very comfortable

I spent 3 wonderful weeks in one of the cozy houses. Rainnie is incredible, she was very friendly and helpful, and responded to all my requests. I am very satisfied and will definitely return again

Wonderful hotel and very friendly and nice staff. The houses are nice and clean, not noisy, there is a small kitchen and everything you need for cooking. There is a swimming pool and a gym

The rooms and location are just wow, worth every dollar. Waking up in the morning and going out to the balcony with coffee to a pastoral view 12 meters from the sea is a heavenly experience.

30am every morning they would start to burn a big pile of plastic and other things right next to it which made it impossible to swim without being surrounded by a cloud of toxic smoke

Great bungalow on a beautiful beach A great place on the beach. I had a basic bungalow that was clean & had everything. The key thing you pay for is location - an amazing beach.

The hammocks and chairs on the terrace were great and the location is within (very close) walking distance to 7-eleven and lots of restaurants and cafes

Great location on the beach. Most of the bungalows aren't beach view but still less than 30 second walk to be on a beautiful quiet beach

Very good service especially at their tours office chutikan(mai) helped us find our lost bag and also send it to us to phuket after we had to leave the next day early in the morning ! Very helpful and kind ! Would definitely recommend them!

Better than expected! Room looked relatively new and clean. Bed not the comfiest but for the price it’s acceptable

Our only complaint is that the walls are paper thin, and the safe didn’t work so we had to call someone to fix it

There's also a nice rooftop area with even better views. A construction site is nearby, and there's a sign with apologies for the inconveniences caused by it in the hotel, but honestly I haven't heard any noise from it

A nice location, clean and spacious room, great view. The part of the Chaloklum beach the hotel has access to is not the best, but it's easy to walk to Malibu or the one to the right from the pier

The second thing to note is that the hotel rooms shows it’s age, with a cracking bath tile for the jacuzzi and balcony doors that barely work. The hotel room only had one plug as well, and the hair dryer did not work

The location is top! The staff are very friendly. 3 things to improve: 1- there are no mosquito nets at the building’s rooms- that was Terrible, I was bitten 30 times in each leg every night

I rented a beach front bungalow for 6 nights. They have 2 pools, one of which is very good for swimming. It was very silent and relaxing. The bungalows was basic but cozy and you have all you need

There are planned group events that are not available to people just on holiday and you will notice and hear lots of 'chats and hugs' and discussions between them about their journeys at meal times so we ate else where and went to the bars for drinks in the evenings as no alcohol is allowed on site

Its a beautiful place and a really good location but be aware that you are amongst vulnerable people and this is very apparent when hearing conversations and in areas like dining and pool areas when they are present

Com as a natural resort, it is in fact an addiction rehab and goes under the name holina rehabilitation centre on google so I can only assume they let remaining rooms to tourists once they have their allocated rooms to patients

Ac is strong bit is not regulated as the rooms get quite cold. Equipped with fridge, 2 bottles of water and towels. Daily housekeeping upon request. Front line staff very friendly and can book tours and boat tickets

The road to go this place is just super amazing you have sea view all way long, you can stop on fews hidden beachs, the hotel is super nice view is crazy, you can enjoy the pool with Balinese stone, and the paddle on the roof top

We booked the beach villa so we had a nice balcony and very fast access to the beach which was great. Housekeeping came 1 day out of 2 but towels not changed. Lots of mosquitoes and insects

Last but not least there is a lovely infinity pool and a small equipped private beach

We stayed in the beach front bungalow with nothing but a coconut tree between our balcony and the ocean. Comfortable bed, great pool, great bar and restaurant and a nice and friendly staff

Absolute 10/10 for cleanliness, comfort, and oceanfront luxury. The staff are kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The on-site restaurant has great energy, quick service, and is perfect for meals, work, or studying

When I spoke to the staff, they insisted that I had said I’d be leaving early (which I had, but they could’ve called me — they used to call me quite often). I was deeply hurt, especially because no one even apologized

At 10:30 AM (half an hour before check-out time), I came back to my room and found that the hotel staff had already taken my belongings out of the room and packed them without my knowledge

There's a lot of bugs and mosquitoes too as it is built in between trees. The staff were all really nice, not too good in speaking english however, except for the manager, but it wasn't a problem for us

The location is paradise, and kept clean. You can hike to Bottle Beach, or easier to come by boat, and some 4x4s also arrive. Many clientele are day trippers, at night the beach is quiet with small groups

Bottle Beach 2 resort is a beautiful place run by beautiful people. Khun Nok and Khun Gie built it, starting with a few wooden huts many years ago. Everything they have created is a labour of love

The rooms are basic, wood on concrete, mostly fan, with hammock facing the incredible sea view. Staff are all wonderful people

Lovely place to spend the time at Haad Rin. It’s nearby the party places but also far away enough to enjoy silent days and nights. The more or less private beach is stunning - especially during sunset

We texted them right after checking in in our new hotel and they managed to send all the belongings in a package with the last ferry of the day. We just had to pick it up at the pier in Koh Tao

Thaniza is a 10 minute walk from “Haad Rin Beach” and a 15 minute scooter ride to “Thong Sala”. The sea views are excellent and it’s worth getting a room with a sea view

The owners of the property are so sweet! Each day when you venture out they clean the room, replace your towels, provide toilet paper and water bottles for free of charge

One big thing to keep in mind is it’s only accessible by a boat or by a taxi service that has 4x4 capability! It can be costly if you plan on making trips to town everyday

And you should be really experienced in driving to get to the place. Or you can ask the staff to organize a taxi for you, which is not free All in all, the place is beautiful by and should be on your list to visit

The place is good if you seek solitude and calmness. Yet, the location is quite isolated and not the best one if you intend to explore the island. It’s difficult to use a bike to get to the location

This guest house was a nice get away from the craziness of Haad Rin. It has a private pool which rarely gets used and has a stunning view of the ocean complete with beach chairs

I stayed for two nights and I was expecting something worse since the rate was low (3. 5) but actually the room was super nice, they give us 3 waters for free and few desserts and coffee

We did early check in for free and the personal was good vibes. The only thing I can criticize is that at night there was a little bit of noise but is also normal being in Haad Rin zone

Most rooms have a hammock you can lay in right on your front entrance to the room. The negatives: no hand soap available in room to wash hands. Shower was not great, the pressure was weak

The room is clean, the beds are very comfortable (actually the most comfortable beds we have had in Thailand so far). The room comes with AC that works well, a TV and a mini fridge

Haad Rin beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. The owner of this guest house is a friendly man who sits at the mini mart all day and greets you as you pass by
