Where to stay in Ko Pha Ngan

Second experience at Seetanu. Everything was great once again. The team is always welcoming, the setting is by the sea, and the location is great. The only downside this time... The homes are aging, and the charm is starting to fade.

We rented a bungalow through ***********, for 4, right on the water. The location was great, that's for sure. The beach was pretty and the sunset was amazing. However, 500 euros for 3 nights without breakfast is really, really too expensive for the service and for Thailand. I booked this hotel with *********** and on the listing it said that the room offered AC, however when I got there not only did the manager inform me it did not have AC, he said he had never even heard of ***********. Beautiful place with an excellent beach just don't take "Bungalow with fan". This means you don't get an aircon, a fridge or a kettle. You can pay a minimal extra amount for the latter 2. Still, the place is gorgeous, aside from my particular room. So best to upgrade early. Best part? 7/11 is just next door! From there, get yourself the mosquito coil and loads of water. :)

Price vs quality ratio is very good. Our large room was good and it was second next to the beach. Distance to the restaurant 10 mts, distance to the sand beach 10 mts only. The beach is very good, a long one, since we are at the west, usually there is no wind at all. Restaurant, breakfast and all day menu is good, service is gentle and good. Only missing is, there are no water taps and shower outside...

I am very glad that I chose this place for my vacation in Phangan. It is a quiet and very green complex. I could listen to the sounds of nature and walk a few minutes to reach the shops, cafes, and the beach. I spent 3 wonderful weeks in one of the cozy houses. Highly recommend this place! It's the best location on the island – close to everything, with a pool, gym, and everything you need. But above all - the staff is amazing! Rainny is incredible! We stayed at Akuna more than 2 weeks. The location is very good, the place is really lovely. The villa we got is very comfortable, quiet and surrounded by trees. There is a great swimming pool and a gym equipped with everything you need. The staff is very nice and helpful. I recommend staying there.

Wonderful hotel and very friendly and nice staff. The houses are nice and clean, not noisy, there is a small kitchen and everything you need for cooking. There is a swimming pool and a gym. 5 minutes from the hotel there are many cafes, 10-15 minutes walk to the beach.

Lovely place to spend the time at Haad Rin. It’s nearby the party places but also far away enough to enjoy silent days and nights. The more or less private beach is stunning - especially during sunset. The staff is absolutely nice and always do their best to make us a great time. Would totally recommend to spend your time here. Only „bad“ thing are the last 10m to get to the hotel.

Sarikantang was definitely worth the money. It is ideally located in a very beautiful beach, 10 minutes walking distance to Haad Rin, where everything happens. Stayed in the beach villa number 44 with an amazing se view from the bed. I have to stay that the staff was amazing, always going the extra mile with my 2 year old baby, Special mention to Peng and hiscolleagues at the restaurant.

I cannot express how amazing this hotel is! I went as a solo traveler for Christmas and the staff, service and room was outstanding! It was my birthday and they decorated the room with balloons and made it super special! The food is great and I had Christmas Eve dinner on the beach! Wonderful location, we were given a free upgrade from a superior cottage to a beach cottage. Very special to have a view from our window right onto the beach. From the start service was brilliant - we were welcomed from our taxi by the reception staff who you could tell clearly loved their job which was fabulous to see. We love it at Loyfa and have extended our stay here. Its quite and private with an access to 2 pools and private beach. We are staying here with our small dog who absolutely loves the nature here and its super safe.

The location is top! The staff are very friendly. 3 things to improve: 1- there are no mosquito nets at the building’s rooms- that was Terrible, I was bitten 30 times in each leg every night. Could not resist visiting the wonderful bottle beach again this winter, spent 2 weeks on Koh Phangan mostly at Smile. The rooms, although basic are good value for money, love the hammocks. I really wanted to like this hotel and although it was nice and cozy, it felt a little off. The staff were nice but seemed very shy when checking us in and out. The hotel is very close to the pier and made it easy to walk and explore around.

Location is perfect, in case you look for serenity, with few people, and pretty much secluded from the outside world - then it is the place. The Sea is nice to swim. The staff at the restaurant are very nice. They also provide transfer from/to the hotel, since definitely not recommending to go there by your car/motorbike due to unpaved road last 15 mins. During rain that road can be quite dangerous...

Love the service from the lovely Burmese staff led by Yeshane, and the food was simply fantastic, including a BBQ Red Snapper. On this occasion I stayed in a one story bungalow (M2) just away from the beach, loved watching the monkeys play in the morning. As always with Bottle Beach access is a problem, there is the 40 min hike down the dirt track or the 2 hour hike to the beautiful fishing village...

The room was very Clean and comfortable, and the View (Seaside Bungalow) was incredible. I like the owner and the staff. I had an air-con bungalow. It smelled a little moldy but leaving the pillows outside of the room and opening a window and turning on the fan fixed it. I much prefer this to a resort with central air that’s moldy. At least this was fixable. The bathroom could use a drying rack, a taller door, and ventilation. The pillows were too hard also. We had a lovely stay for 9 nights in Mai Pen Rai Bungalows. Employees were very helpful and nice. There was a nice restaurant with great food and nice view on the beach. The staff at zee boutique were amazing, always smiling, always laughing and they couldn’t do enough for you. They payed so much attention to detail and really cared for you as a guest. Aswell as the staff the amenities and food were brilliant, we loved it.

If you are looking for a quiet beach and want to stay there it’s good, but you are kinda trapped there because you can’t go there with a scooter. The taxi costed us 150 Baht. We walked one time but it was very exhausting. Also there is no supermarket. You have to buy everything (even water) in the restaurants

The property is beautiful. The staff is very accommodating and can understand most English. One big thing to keep in mind is it’s only accessible by a boat or by a taxi service that has 4x4 capability! It can be costly if you plan on making trips to town everyday
