Palm Kiri Resort in Ao Nang

The location of the resort is the worst possible. The facility of lunch & Dinner is not available. It is located far away from the market area. Hence I had to struggle al ot for lunch and dinner. The knowledge of English of the receptionists is very poor. The receptionists understand only Thai language. Therefore communication is a hurdle. The vegetarian should avoid visiting this resort because most of the items served here are non vegetarian.

I recently stayed at Palm Kiri Ao Nang Resort and, to be fair, most of the stay was very pleasant – nice room, good location, and generally friendly staff.

Unfortunately, everything was ruined at check-out.

There was a small drop of blood on the bedsheet, and instead of simply washing it (which every hotel normally does after a guest checks out), they treated it as if I had destroyed the linen. They said they had taken it to a dry cleaner and tried to charge me 1,000 THB, even though the sheet was not damaged – just dirty and clearly washable.

On top of that, they initially refused to return my deposit, using this situation as the reason to keep it. I found this behavior very unfair, unprofessional, and totally out of line with standard hospitality practices.

To make things worse, a couple staying in the room next to us was also charged several hundred THB for an allegedly “lost” ashtray, although they said it simply disappeared from their terrace. This suggests a broader issue with how small items and fees are handled at this property.

Because of these experiences, the resort completely spoiled what was otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Future guests should be aware of these practices, especially regarding deposits and extra charges for normal, washable stains or missing items.

Worst hotel I ever visit service okay at first when check out because wet towel as been charged 2000bath. Reason they give is they don’t have stock towel if they put in laundry will take one day to take back to resort. It’s not customer problem. Stupid reason.
