The resort shares clear directions, but you only realize how remote it is once you arrive — it requires a long boat ride and a 25-minute tuk-tuk journey

The restaurant serves good food, the bar and beach club are great, and the pool is lovely. There’s also a small gym and activities like ATV rides and kayaking (depending on water levels)

They offer pick-up and drop-off if you book activities through them; otherwise, transport via tuk-tuk and long-tail boat is chargeable each time

Best staff in the world ! So helpful, so chill and so nice in a genuine way. However, the sea is muddy and you can't swim in it

The villas are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a local touch. What really made the experience special was the amazing team. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout my stay

The room is very clean and nice, the staffs are extremely friendly and kind I accidentally booked the wrong date and they fixed it so professionally, special thanks to Dada, the woman that helped me fix that and he informed the other staff so in the morning I don't have any troubles, everything is nice about this hotel

A lovely, quiet hotel. The sea was constantly at low tide. We swam in the pool. The sounds of nature were all around. The hotel is secluded.

They organized a seafood feast for us one night which was delightful. You really cant walk to anything from Melina's but they organized transport whenever we wanted to go into town or to other activities

We went sea kayaking, had massages at the resort, swam in the pool and ocean, drank cocktails as the sun went down and thoroughly relaxed

Many thanks to Oi, Kim and So for their fantastic service, they are there to help you with everything from arranging rides to making the most delicious meals! Try the fried chicken and fruit shakes! The beach isn't great for swimming but is filled with crabs, shells, and exploration for kids

Beautiful resort next to the beach and in the middle of thai nature. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent local and fresh food. All the facilities are well maintained. We had a great time in Ao Thalane!

My husband and I visited for our honeymoon in February. We were so happy with the location, the staff, food…everything was great! We used an air bnb and our house was always communicating with us to help

Nice hotel 3 min from the beach

You can hear it in your own room, even with the door closed, like a pistol shot right next to your ear. And there are many rooms on each floor, and they're all booked up during high season

2) About 30 meters from the hotel building, there's a local Muay Thai center that often hosts local tournaments until about 11 PM. You can clearly hear the commentator even with the windows closed

The rooms aren't new, but they're still well-maintained, and everything you need is available. Overall, it's pretty good value for money

But keep two things in mind: 1) There seems to be an issue with the room doors – they're quite hard to close without significant force

And when you do apply that force, it's tough to gauge how much, resulting in the door slamming shut with a very, very loud bang

Very good hotel, bit expensive in the low season, saltwater pool, reception very friendly, meals at any time of the day, breakfast supplied and varied, a 15-20 min walk to the city centre but free shuttle bus in the evening

The personal was polite and nice, they helped us a lot with the tours, laundry, and many things! Also the breakfast and the facilities are awesome ! If you are looking for a place to stay, I really recommend it 🤍

Recommend! I had a very nice room with a good bed and clean shower. The staff is excellent and very well helping for you to enjoy your stay. Breakfast was also included and well prepared including good coffee

I stayed just one night while passing through Krabi and was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice balcony. The staff was friendly and check-in was easy

The hotel was really good and the room is big enough. The location is nice, close to the center and there are some scooters that you can rent by day

By the way, it’s very easy to take a longtail boat after dark from Ao Nam Mao pier. Though we only stayed one night, it was unforgettable. We would definitely return and recommend that others stay here!

There's a water cooler on each floor with three different temperatures, from cold to hot. The room had plenty of outlets and a gorgeous balcony with a huge sofa. The breakfast also impressed us with its variety of dishes

Avatar was a really nice place to stay, especially with the warm welcome from Moo at the check in desk. We had a late check in and Moo made us feel like VIPs when we checked in

I really liked the convenient location, very close to the pier; we walked there with our suitcases in just 3 minutes. The architecture is unique with a pool in the courtyard

There were free water dispensers in the hallways on each floor, which was very eco-friendly. The shower, toilet, and sink were separated and complemented each other. The hot water pressure was strong

This place was very beautiful and very clean. People at there are very kind. The location was very good, it’s near the walking street.

1 minute walk to Long Beach. Rooms clean and cool. Pool with massages on site. The restaurant is the best thing about this place. Banana pancakes in the morning and tons of Thai items all day. Will be back!

Need to provide mosquito coil or a fan at the balcony area. Aircon is not cold due to toilet door below it. Not sure is ceiling design or unfinished paint on the ceiling. Massage area is good, near to pool

The room was nice, with a hammock in front. The restaurant was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The room was about a 2-minute walk from the beach. I spent 5 days here, and it was quiet and had a great atmosphere

Staff are incredibly friendly, greeting quests like family and offering suggestions of what to do and where to go during your stay! As a finishing touch at the reception you can book onward transport

Shower pressure was good, there was ample of hot water and the bathroom size was good! We had stayed in a standard room before NYE and then came back to Royal Lanta after staying in Ko Phi Phi

5 stars for the room, 4 staff, 3 amenities. Some amenities closed because of the low season, also they could improve the maintenance of the pools and the cleanliness in the beach side.

We stayed over NYE in a Deluxe Villa. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and House keeping came everyday and cleaned the room, changed towels and topped up the glass bottled water

## Cleanliness: Overall cleanliness was good. The mosquito net had some dust, likely because it's rarely used. ## Environment: The landscaping is excellent, and it's very quiet, right by the beach

## Facilities: The room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony perfect for drying clothes. A piece of the bathroom ceiling fell, but the front desk was notified and it was promptly repaired

## Service: The service was excellent. Our stay coincided with New Year's Eve, and the hotel arranged a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner with a rich array of dishes

Very nice bungalow setup and pool. Just 8 min walk to the main swimming beach. Stores, bars and restaurants all around. Only issue was the shower drain was a bit clogged and smelly once water passed through

like there was a water licking from somewhere and that sense of humidity in the air. For my lucky, air conditioning was doing some crazy noise, making impossible to sleep

But management is on it and will have it fixed. They did always get something wrong with our orders and it took a while until it was served

The last 2 days I got breakfast from a buffet close by which had everything I was craving in the morning at a good price

Overall, I definitely recommend this resort. If you're looking for a fancier, 5-star place, you'll have to look elsewhere, but if you're good with a laid back, casual atmosphere in a bungalow, you won't be disappointed!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I made my reservation months in advance when it was low season. It was EXTREMELY difficult to get hold of the hotel to make changes to my reservation and even then there would be days between messages

They do not seem to answer emails in low season. Keep this in mind! I should have given it 4 stars but I don't think it's fair considering how much I enjoyed the hotel once I got there

Relax by the pool, step directly out onto the beach, enjoy the delicious breakfast and wake up to the sounds of birds. We only stayed here one night but truly loved the property

Simply amazing! I have seen many hotels, but the passion & effort that went into designing and maintaining this little oasis is just breathtaking! You have all amenities you need on site and yet the hustle & bustle of Koh Lanta is just around the corner

This place is stunning, classy, meticulously maintained and an absolute gem of a hotel. Just walking around the gardens alone and the aesthetic charm of it all was worth it

It's small with limited occupancy which means you'll find yourself with plenty of places to be in silence and there are always lounge chairs and amenities for all guests

The rooms are fresh and clean, there was no cleaning for 4 days. The vacation is like at grandma's in the village, only the price is different. The sea during high tide is gorgeous, the beaches are deserted

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall we were happy with our stay, the hotels going through some building works which we were told about before hand but the builders didn’t start early or disturb us to much

Fantastic location to explore Ao Nang and right by the beach where you can get a longtail boat to Railay. I would fully recommend. My double room was clean and comfortable. Ideal for my quick stop over.

The upkeep is pretty good, but there are some renovations to be done in the studio as well as the building. There's a private beach, but it's a shame it's located right below a restaurant from which everyone can see you

You won’t want to leave after staying in Coconut Bay. The view is phenomenal, you have your own beach, a shared pool and can enjoy sunsets from your balcony

Hotel located in a quiet area, not far from the pier to Railay beach and some nice restaurants along the waterfront. Room spacious and well organized, tv air con and kettle all well functioning

The rooms are small, but they have everything. Cleaning is available upon request. The bed linens and towels are tired and gray. The worst thing for me was the mattress; it was very hard

They immediately organised us motorbikes and also a taxi! The food is also very delicious at the restaurant there, Jeab‘s Dining & Bar (a lot of vegetarian options)! Also the fruit plate afterwards is great! The apartment was very clean and beautiful! In general, the atmosphere and the location is amazing! I definitely recommend it!

Fabulous sunsets, quiet early mornings, lots of stuff to do close by including Thai massage, bikes to rent, some shopping, a gym not too far away and a nice beach with good swimming in calm and warm waters when the tide is in

Clean beach, wide beach, even wider at low tide. There is both soft sand and firm sand, suitable for walking in the fresh air. Or go jogging in the morning and evening

Clear water There are good schools located, changing the atmosphere. It's good to go in to eat and walk around the school

We were four young girls travelling so we did not mind music all day and party at night. We could basically jump into the pool from the bungalow which was freshly renovated and furnished when we arrived

Freedom bar close to the pool is a crazy, funny and fabulous place to spend relaxed nights on Lanta. Amazing fireshows, yummy drinks, great people and perfect atmosphere

You can find a variety of restaurants within an 800m walk, I'd suggest turn left (when exiting) and walk about 600m to a restaurant adjacent to the water with various seating options (tables or bean bags)

Great Place! The bungalow was new with its own terrace and rooftop. Very clean, super friendly staff, great and cheap food. Will definitely stay here again. And for “Island” the price is great too. 10/10 recommend 🙏☺️

Located on the hill (luckily they have a lift to carry your bags but not you) that has a great view of the sea below whilst having a meal from the hotel

You don't hear much noise from the bars below or nearby or the hustle of people moving between hotels and the beach. The room is similar to a log cabin and you can hear people walking by from time to time
